Ive just bought myself some new pjs and ny daughter has got blackcurrent on them. Am I the only one who hates to be soaked with juice, covered in chocolate or smeared with beans? Maybe im just in a bad mood doesnt normally bother me Hmm

YANBU - I hate it in my hair. They always seem to grab my hair when I'm trying to wipe them down after dinner.

RaisinDEtre · 17/09/2012 20:23

Children eat and drink at the table

Have wipes handy

Sorted

HecateHarshPants · 17/09/2012 20:26

I spent 6 years covered in actual shit, along with the kids and most walls in the house.

Grin Wink

Just accept the fact that you'll spend the next few years looking like you just climbed out of a rubbish truck. Embrace it. Think of it as accessorising Grin

wicketter · 17/09/2012 20:28

I don't consider myself fully dressed UNLESS I have a couple of stains :)

GoldShip · 17/09/2012 20:28

For a second I thought you meant actual shit. L
I once had an elderly man tell me he was going to shit on my shoe. He did :(

rockandahardplace2012 · 17/09/2012 20:39

Wow Goldship I think youve won this one! Raisin I share a bed with my dd ( wears flame proof suitHmm) that is changing when we come home from our holiday. She has a bottle of juice in bed which she wont fall asleep without and when she falls asleep it leaks! Its never bothered me before but its starting to get to me Sad

My friend turned up at preschool this morning wearing a white (bad choice) t-shirt covered in soggy bits of cereal bar and a juice splodge on the bottom. She had been dressed for less than 30 mins.

I reminded her gently that white T-shorts are not necessarily the best sartorial choice when you have two pre-schoolers...Grin

CouthyMowWearingOrange · 17/09/2012 20:43

T-shirts. Autocorrect hates me.

PropositionJoe · 17/09/2012 20:44

Why didn't you move your foot??

GoldShip · 17/09/2012 20:44

I'm a carer so it's the norm for me ha!

I don't envy all those with kids. I hate sticky foods! Tempted to ban jam...

Fakebook · 17/09/2012 20:46

All my clothes have a whitish stain on the left shoulder.

GoldShip · 17/09/2012 20:48

proposistion I couldn't. We were helping him onto the toilet from his wheelchair. I didn't actually expect him to follow through with it anyway!!!

Literally.

steppemum · 17/09/2012 20:57

I hate it, and mine have just about outgrown it - yippee
but I did quickly realise that you can minimise damage. Always eat at table. If you drink away from table it is only water. Use napkins, and teach them to wipe their fingers and mouth. (hmmm ds is 9 and we are still working on that one)
don't use any form of sippy cup for one minute longer than necessary. They leak, and spill and dc are oblivious. If real cup goes over they get wet and learn to be careful.

I know, I am an ogre.

Of course you do also have to ban all chocolate. It is obviously only for grown ups.

Lonecatwithkitten · 17/09/2012 21:03

I win 14 years covered in actual shit and I put my arms in cows bums! My life is shit, wee and being spat at ( you got to love those alpacas). If only it was black currant and chocolate, just invest in professional grade washing powder it even removes Armagedon levels of blood from clothes.

StellarforStar · 17/09/2012 22:37

lonecat tell us more!

What is this mystic washing powder of which you speak?

OP YANBU. It sucks.

anditwasallyellow · 17/09/2012 22:41

I really want to resist the urge to tell you that she shouldn't be falling asleep with juice but I can't, that's the worst thing for her teeth.

valiumredhead · 17/09/2012 22:43

What and said!

rockandahardplace2012 · 18/09/2012 01:53

Yes i know its bad for her but dd brushes her teeth twice a day, but thanks to everyone else for sharing your stories

Lonecatwithkitten · 18/09/2012 08:17

Th mystic washing powder is what they call 'Professional' powder of any brand it has more enzymes and therefore gets out all that stuff. All brands make it you buy it from a commercial supplier like Makro or Costco.
