Was caught out in rain this afternoon. Really really heavy rain with no umbrella. Needless to say it ruined my make up (foundation mostly) and by the time we got to the car it looked like i had just came out of a shower. My attempts to fix my foundation in the car made it look worse and was left with patchy cheeks. We were nowhere near home so decided to nip to the big supermarket and buy a cheap all in one foundation to see if i could at least make myself presentable. Got there and the cheapest one they had was about £15, which i was a little bit grudging to pay. So i used the tester one and quickly applied some in the mirror and fixed my make up mishap. DP quite happy that im not wasting money on more make up but DS1 mortified that i would do this. He got all embarresed over imo nothing. This reaction is just a teen thing isn't it.

I'm sure the people selling the foundation (the shop or the manufacturers) would be more than happy you used their product, regardless of the circumstances.

You might have really liked it and go back for more, or remember their name had got you out of a tight fix and associate it with positive things.

Your teen will find other random things to be mortified about no doubt Grin

ive often done that and tbh the next time i buy the product i get it from the same place. i wouldnt use a tester then buy straight away because i like to see how it impacts on skin over the day ect so its no biggy

There are grubby spotty kids who will have had their hands all over it...

Yak! I occasionally swab something on my hand but my whole face?!?!

The amount of times it will have been opened it will be full of bacteria prays it was a pump

Yabu and minging

Sorry I'm with Kayano, it's not very hygienic (I mean for you, not for other customers!)

Other than that YANBU.

I used to work in boots and I wouldn't put any of the tester make up anywhere near my face,I have seen how many grubby little fingers have delved into the pots.
The school girls would come in on the way to school and do a full make up,then they would come again at the end of the school day and do the same.
We weren't allowed to tell them to stop as boots have a policy of allowing people to try anything they want.

As others have said, you were 'trying out' their make up and will might go back to buy some.

I spend ages at airports and we all have to traipse through Duty Free, don't we? I spend time in the perfumeries using their testers before I sit and read my book, aware that I reek, but it's a nice smell.

thanks, i thought it was just a over reacting teen :) it was just my cheek that was messed up, i had two streaks running down it and my attempts to smudge them effectively washed that part of my face, so i had a clean bit on my face so to speak, not a good look. Grubby germs vs fucked up make up, grubby germs win every time, im a vain fucker lol
