DD.

My difficult, autistic, stroppy, exhausting, teenage DD.

The one I angst about frequently.

The DD who has smashed up my house, broken my bones and turned my hair grey.

The DD who has at times made me walk out snd fear not being able to turn around.

The DD who has made me cry.

For the last week had been Nice. Pleasant. Friendly. Cheerful.

Has voluntarily patted me (nearest thing to a hug i have had in years)

Has been to school without shouting.

Who today, did some homework.

Was watching something on Youtube with her sister without getting arsy and arguing.

She has laughed.

She has got out her uniform and sorted her bag for tomorrow.

Even DH is amazed.

What on earth has happened?

Wow Grin I don't know but that's amazing!

SheelaNeGoldGig · 16/09/2012 19:03

Right now it is like she was at age 3. Funny, chatty, confident.

It is weird and unsettling.

What is she after? [suspicious] Grin

MammaTJisWearingGold · 16/09/2012 19:06

How old is she? Could she be ending the teen strops and learning to live with her autism?

SheelaNeGoldGig · 16/09/2012 19:07

I'm on pins waiting for it to end. Honestly it is extraordinary.

Lookout for extra bathing and tooth brushing!

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 16/09/2012 19:09

I hope it lasts.

Xxx

SheelaNeGoldGig · 16/09/2012 19:10

She's 14.
School is very different this term which is a big part.

DH has just asked what's going on as she has never been this happy on a sunday ever.

She is actually singing in the bath.

Boy.
My friends Ds was like this. They were vair bewildered.
She is now his wife.

MNhoneydragonHQ · 16/09/2012 19:19

I missed out the entire middle then somehow.

He became extraordinarily affectionate (for him) and only got visibly stressed over being late for school as opposed to stressed about going to school. It was a girl.

SheelaNeGoldGig · 16/09/2012 19:20

Oh. I'm not ready for that.

OP posts:
OHforDUCKScake · 16/09/2012 19:28

She's in love.

MNhoneydragonHQ · 16/09/2012 19:35

Well it could be a brief dip on hormones before the next lot .....

SheelaNeGoldGig · 16/09/2012 19:40
