someone tells me how to get photos from my phone to my pc?

I have it connected to the printer with a usb cable, but nothing happening on the sodding pc. I've done it before (once), can't remember how. WHY WON'T IT WORK?

all these STUPID things in your house ?

there is a common denominator Wink

NoMoreNotNever · 14/09/2012 17:21

My telly has messages [proud]. All from BT. Which I can't read or delete because I can't press the EXIT or DELETE buttons because THERE AREN'T ANY ON THE REMOTE. So there they all are, piling up unread and lonely for all eternity.

yes AF, they are all stupid.

What is your point? Hmm?

OP posts:
Hullygully · 14/09/2012 17:32

No more, just scratch out some of the useless buttons and write exit and delete on them. That should do it.

OP posts:
NoMoreNotNever · 14/09/2012 17:47

They're all useless. I just counted - 52 buttons on one remote. I use on/off, and up/down. That leaves me 49 delete buttons and one exit. Perhaps I'll rename some of them 'deadly laser', 'invisibility' and 'sudden sense of empathy' and take it to work tomorrow.

Haha Jesus In all honesty it couldn't have been much worse than it actually was. I cringe to think that there's still a copy in the university library. Does anyone know how long they keep them for?

When I finally worked it out, I had to go to the copy shop to get it bound. I sobbed, and they put a massive job on hold to help me out. I loved them so much for that.

And then, I had to get a taxi 20 miles to hand it in. The driver sped through the roads of Somerset and South Gloucestershire like a tubby, smoking, Jenson Button. I loved him, too.

NoMoreNot, I have a Washing Machine Man who fixed my machine when it wouldn't work unless I stood there for 50 minutes with my finger on the power switch, by rewiring things and turning the crease guard button into an on/off button. Genius. And for just £20. Perhaps I could see if he does 'phones too... Dunno if he could sort invisibility tho'...

TheMonster · 15/09/2012 17:44

I like to Bluetooth because cables confuse me.

Hullygully · 17/09/2012 16:12

So today's question

How do I get the photos from a memory card onto my pc?

My pc doesn't have anywhere to put the card, when I put it in the printer, which I'm SURE I've done before, the dropbox things says it wants the pics, but there isn't enough space.

I can't stop the dropbox thing or find how to access the pc thing that gets the pics..

aaaaaaaagggggghhhhhhhhhh

No idea - sorry.

Hullygully · 17/09/2012 16:17

I really think I'm going mad

OP posts:
TheGoldenKnid · 17/09/2012 16:18

I think you need a card reader for that?

JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 17/09/2012 16:21

You get little adapter things for those cards, what you stick in a USB port tech face

Hullygully · 17/09/2012 16:23

NO I've done it before by sticking th ememory card in the printer I PROMISE, it's just that stupid dropbox interfering saying it wants the pics, I thought fair enough, it can have them first and I'll transfer them to the pc from it...but oh no, it doesn't have enough sodding space and I can't work out how to turn it off.

OP posts:
lilachair · 17/09/2012 16:33

Can I suggest www.Dropbox.com ? you install it on your phone and your pc, then just pop your photos in it and the magically appear on your pc.

It has saved my sanity and you can use it for documents and scans and allsorts.

HTH Grin

lilachair · 17/09/2012 16:34

Hmm Dropbox

Hullygully · 17/09/2012 16:37

ARE YOU HAVING A LARF?

It's bleeding dropbox that's giving me ag.

OP posts:
whattodoo · 17/09/2012 16:38

Have you tried turning it off then on again?

Hullygully · 17/09/2012 16:39

yes

several times

OP posts:
TheGoldenKnid · 17/09/2012 16:39

Ask a child to do it?

TheGoldenKnid · 17/09/2012 16:39

Have you kicked it yet?

schobe · 17/09/2012 16:40

oooh oooh

Get people on here who don't have dropbox to accept an invitation from you to share a folder on dropbox.

Then you get extra storage space on dropbox as a reward for luring more people into it.

THEN you have room for your photos. Yes, it's convoluted, but it might just work.

whattodoo · 17/09/2012 16:41

Although, to be fair, i'm no expert.

Many's the time I've cried and screamed down the phone to DP while he's at work because DD wants to watch Again The Sheep and I can't figure out this new fangled dvd player gizmo
