To think Kate Middleton should have kept her tits in

Surely she can't be unaware that she's one of the most photographed women in the world and there are paparazzi everywhere.
I know in an ideal lovely world she should be able to skinny dip in privacy, but in the real world I think she is being a bit naiive to go topless and then be so upset when the pictures are published

OP posts:

Agreed. Especially as the paparazzi wasn't trespassing. He took the picture from a public road. Very naive IMO

Blu · 15/09/2012 21:26

I think you misunderstood me AnnaLiza.

Chubfuddler · 15/09/2012 21:26

A public road NEARLY A MILE AWAY.

Don't ever whinfe someone puts a photo of your precious darling on fb any of you who think this is ok, will you? I'm keeping a list and will mock.

I was replying to myneighbourisstrange
I started typing on my phone then got distracted then came back to it, hence the delay!
Apparently it was a public road. Can't remember where I read it

AnnaLiza · 15/09/2012 21:38

The picture reinforces my previous post! Very naive! The house doesn't seem shielded by thick trees and is visible from the road,

I think she was naive and a bit stupid tbh. She can't be unaware of the interest in her, the lengths the press will go to etc - why take the risk? You'd think she'd be even more cautious given the recent debacle with Harry.

MyNeighbourIsStrange · 15/09/2012 23:16

DM reporting the photographer was female.

MmeLindor · 15/09/2012 23:26

I have only skimmed this thread and find I am appalled by the utter lack of empathy for Kate.

Regardless of who she is, she does not deserve to have pictures taken of a private moment that she shared with her husband.

She was not on an Ibizan beach. She was on the terrace of a private villa.

Anyone who puts blame on her would surely not be bothered if someone stood at the top of the nearest hill and took a photo of them standing in their own garden.

Cause, you know, if you will go out in your garden and take your bikini off, then you have to expect that the Sun will have you on Page 3 tomorrow.

lovebunny · 16/09/2012 00:02

blu, you are not making sense.

Yellowtip · 16/09/2012 00:39

My own very personal view I'm sure not shared by others is that she does deserve it, kind of. She is being paid for -yet all I seem to see is just one effing holiday after another. Tough.

EdMcDunnough · 16/09/2012 07:40

Being paid to show her naked body in the papers?

Really

lovebunny · 16/09/2012 08:37

her choice is clear. she can either stay dressed and behave respectably, or be as she has been, paraded around the world semi-naked. a choice she made.

EdMcDunnough · 16/09/2012 08:47

Rubbish. Where do you draw the line regarding privacy?

Would it be Ok for someone to take pictures through a window for example?

How hard does she have to work to make sure she cannot be seen from even a mile away?

Genuinely interested as to where you draw it.

EdMcDunnough · 16/09/2012 08:48

Oh and had she kept on her bikini - and had bikini-wearing photos published instead - would that still be judged as 'not respectable' by you?

How respectable does she have to be? One piece swimming costume, fully clothed...you tell me.

thebeesnees79 · 16/09/2012 08:52

if she just kept her bikini top on there would be no issue! she is very naive, I never ever go topless on holiday I refuse and I am not married to the future king so more fool her.

GoldShip · 16/09/2012 08:54

I prefer this topless pic

EdMcDunnough · 16/09/2012 08:59

I reckon there would still be an issue if she had been photographed in her bikini, without her knowledge or consent.

Would people have said then, she shouldn't have gone out in a bikini?

diddl · 16/09/2012 09:03

For me the issue is that these pics are taken without knowledge due to distance/equipment used.

I don´t think she did anything wrong.

Maybe she´ll get a dressing down.

What are they going to do-sack her??!!

GoldShip · 16/09/2012 09:06

People are missing the basic points in this thread. I don't understand how.

naked pictures of a person should NOT be published without their consent. AT ALL.

It's a basic human right and not one that should get crossed off just because she's married the future king.

EdMcDunnough · 16/09/2012 09:11

I agree, Goldship.

HmmThinkingAboutIt · 16/09/2012 09:12

Goldship, the basic point is fine. But when the law isn't strong enough to actually protect people when that is broken then actually those in the public eye need to be smart enough to realise that even in private they have to behave in a certain way or risk being 'outed' in one way or another. It isn't right, but they should have enough understanding of how money talks, and how it is an international world and what that actually means; either publications/internet are beyond the reach of the law or are willing to risk fines knowing full well that the rewards are greater anyway.

So yeah, whilst its wrong, it still makes Kate rather naive.

QuickLookBusy · 16/09/2012 09:21

Goldship is 100% correct.

"She should have known better" brigade 100% incorrect.

Simple for any decent thinking person.

EdMcDunnough · 16/09/2012 09:22

Naivety is not a crime or misdemeanour - it's just unfortunate.

Taking unsolicited, naked photos is wrong.
