I can only assume this is why those 2 people in the news decided to starve a german shepard puppy, i see no other reason than the dislike of the animal and their own sick minds to let it starve for however long it took for the poor little thing to be put out of its misery.

I wish id never clicked on the daily mail site and saw it now. Sad

I just dont understand people who do this kind of thing to animals, if you cant afford/dont like them give them up to someone who does.

Yeah I wish I hadn't seen that either. I gave my dog a big hug.

I used to have a german shepard and it made me sick to see that picture - although they warn you graphic content they still insist on putting th epicture next to the headline, so theres no choice to not look really when its staring you in the face.

Apparently she had learning disabilities, although what's his excuse?

My 5yo adopted a cat last year (my cat, I didn't just let her pick one up off of the streets) she feeds him twice a day. Changes his water regularly and brushes him daily. I fail to see how an adult, even with learning disabilities, independent enough to live alone could not be capable of what a five year old girl is.

And the RSPCA should be ashamed at letting it get to this stage. They should have made follow up visits if they were concerned.

I am no animal lover but I would never harm an animal and really can't see why someone would have pets and then mistreat them.

Even if circumstances change and you can't care for them take them to the local animal shelter where they can hopefully be rehomed.

I haven't seen it and don't really want to hugs my fluffy german shepherd I will never understand cruelty to any living creature.

GoldShip · 09/09/2012 22:47

I am hugging my beautiful boxers as we speak

TinyDancingHoofer · 09/09/2012 23:00

I don't think her learning disabilities should be used as an excuse. She has the mental capacity to stand trial and lives with her partner not a carer. She and he should be in jail. 7 months is a long time for a puppy to suffer.

I saw this news item too. Had me in tears. Poor poor little dog. I love animals and have a cat. Hope those two bastards responsible rot in hell.
