Someone's moving into a house across the road from me. There's a car parked outside that's COVERED in 'BRITISH CYCLING TEAM SKY' paintwork and logos, v official looking.

So AIBU to be deluding myself that my new neighbour is Victoria Pendleton and I can take her round some cake, and we'll be BFFs forever I may have a slight crush on her.

Team Sky is Bradley Wiggins and co, isn't it? Tour de France lot. And that other lovely one whose name escapes me.

Mark Cavendish would be my wish, if I saw that car on a neighbours drive!

Just been Googling, you're right. I am slightly disappointed ignorant of all the team ins & outs. Lots of pro cyclists live in my town...am SO curious.

Salmo - I agree! I think she looks like someone who wouldn't have a lot of female friends. Can't quite put my finger on why.

I thought I was the only person who didn't like Victoria Pendleton. Something very smug about her. Course she could be lovely but I just don't get that impression.

If I'm being brutally honest I wasn't entirely convinced by some of the the crocodile tears in that documentary about her and the coach's relationship.

I found I took an instant dislike to Pendleton, too, although I was generally very impressed wiht all the Olympians. Might have had something to do with her interview after the race where she was disqualified and she was just talking about putting it behind her and going on to the next race with no mention of the poor girl who had been disqaulified with her, for whom there was no 'other race'. SHe seemed a bit self centred.
