OMG!! Somehow I have managed to bag myself a coaching session with one if my IDOLS in the world of the stage!!!!! I don't think I'll ever stop squeeing like a 5 year old who's been told they're going to Disneyland!
AIBU to be so excited about this at 27 years old?! Lol

(no I won't mention names - may 'out myself' or kinda worse said person may be a mumsnetter - I'd be mortified if they knew how stupidly excited I am!! Lol)

Yey!

I'm really curious now :)

MrsTerrysChocolateOrange · 08/09/2012 21:27

I once had a cooking class with my cooking hero. I wouldn't shut up about it for months years actually, I still won't, want to here about it, he was soooo charming, squeeee. YANBU. Enjoy.

ProPerformer · 08/09/2012 21:34

fryingpan it's prob someone few people on here have heard of anyway as they're not mega famous - well known and hellishly talented but not 'famous'. Lol

MrsTerrys ooh good for you.... I know I'll keep going on about this for years plus I may even have to make note of it in my show biography from now on

OP posts:
MrsTerrysChocolateOrange · 08/09/2012 21:39

Presumably s/he will be a 'close personal friend' in that biography. Lots of "oh, that sounds like something x would say, like when s/he said x to me". Try that a lot.

ProPerformer · 08/09/2012 22:21

Lol I mean more the little bit of write up a performer puts by their name/photo in theatre programmes as in "Properformer has been coached by xxx"

OP posts:
MrsTerrysChocolateOrange · 08/09/2012 22:48

...has been coasched by xxx, a close personal friend... Grin

MrsTerrysChocolateOrange · 08/09/2012 22:48

coasched I look like I've been on the Wine. I promise I haven't.

ProPerformer · 08/09/2012 23:08

Haha well let's get started on the Wine then!

Did you use any in your cooking?

OP posts:
ProPerformer · 08/09/2012 23:10

Grr was meant to be Wine Grin Wink for the symbols - that's the trouble with this discussion board using [] and my other one using :: lol

I once had a puppet workshop with a puppeteer for Jim Henson Company who had appeared in The Muppet Christmas Carol. I don't think I would have been more star struck and excited if Brad Pitt had turned up. YADefinitelyNBU to be excited and very squeey. Have a brilliant time.

MrsTerrysChocolateOrange · 08/09/2012 23:24

There was matched wine with my cooking course. I was right pished by the end.

MrsTerrysChocolateOrange · 08/09/2012 23:25

Muppet Christmas Carol. I flipping love that film.

ProPerformer · 08/09/2012 23:33

Ooh lurked that is fab!! I love that film too!

Passes round Wine to all on the thread. I'm honestly so excited - I actually ran up to my two best mates when I saw them at choir practice and we had a little jump up and down with excitement! And I have a month to wait until the session - ill be a gibbering wreck by then! (hence starting on the Wine already!) glad INBU - someone at choir turned round and said "Well I know it's exciting news but for goodness sake you're a grown up so behave like one!" .... Could've kicked them. They've obviously never been excited about anything before poor love

I once got this excited over a maths lecturer Blush she was a star in the "maths world" and had won prizes and everything, and she actually lectured us in basic "catch up" type maths for our first year at university Grin I still talk about it sometimes and it's over ten years ago now Blush
Enjoy every minute of your coaching session won't you Grin

ExitPursuedByABear · 08/09/2012 23:39

Let me squeeeeee on your behalf. Enjoy.

RevoltingChildren · 08/09/2012 23:42

Not fair, want to know who it is? I'd be excited for someone like Kerry Ellis.

Dh is a vocal coach with students on the west end so wouldn't be as excited. He'd think I was sad.

ProPerformer · 08/09/2012 23:54

Thanks girls. Tbh even if I said the persons name you would probably never have heard of them unless you are in to a certain theatre genre - my two best friends and most of the people at my choir had never heard of them, nor had any of my work collegues. My oh friends who know who this person is are my other friends who are 'theatre buffs' of this genre. Lol.

Plus as I said I can't mention on here anyway just in case, I have met this person before (friend of a friend so got introduced) and they are really terribly lovely and 'everyday' - id be mortified if they knew I'm so starstruck, especially as its a 'friendly' offer not a 'professional' one!! Lol. But it's probably that which is making me more 'squee' of that makes sense!! (And breathe and relax and calm down - and breathe... Etc etc as my DH keeps reminding me!)

RevoltingChildren · 08/09/2012 23:57

ShavingPrimateRyan · 09/09/2012 00:02

ProPerformer · 09/09/2012 00:13
