To have parked my kids in front of a Meg & Mog DVD

Whilst I spend 30 mins sitting in the back garden with a glass of fizzy wine?
Have been playing with them and entertaining them since 5.15am and DH won't be back til after they're in bed.
I deserve a break (and an MN session) don't I?
(and they are currently obsessed with Meg & Mog, so everyone's happy, right?)

5.15am you say? Make that two one and a half glasses.

Sparklingbrook · 07/09/2012 17:28

5.15am? Make it the whole bottle. Grin

Petsinmypudenda · 07/09/2012 17:29

Pancakeflipper · 07/09/2012 17:32

If its unreasonable then I am an unreasonable mother too... I don't have the fizzy wine but my kids are watching Bear Grylls whilst I potter in the kitchen and MN.

PurpleAndPoppyWearer · 07/09/2012 17:36

What took you so long? Mine have been up since 5.15am too, and the TV went on around 6am 3pm!

Top work with the fizzy wine, will be having a glass or three myself later on. Enjoy!

Bimblepops · 07/09/2012 17:38

This is why I love MN.

Next question - AIBU to sneak into the BT property two doors down at night and crop their Leylandii that are stealing my late afternoon sunshine?

WillNeverGetALicence · 07/09/2012 19:14

We have had tv on in this house for hours rather longer than you...

I think it is a necessity rather than a luxury Grin

That said I find that the kids do get up to play when they get bored of staring goggle eyed at the screen. So are not actually watching the tv as long as it is turned on no thanks to my neglectful parenting strategy Blush

curmit · 07/09/2012 19:15

Nope! 1960's Batman DVD = Gin and tonic + mumsnet.

DoubleYew · 07/09/2012 19:22

YANBU for alerting me to the fact it comes in dvd format, only 3.27 on Amazon... thanks op!

Bimblepops · 07/09/2012 19:44
