We had an awful year of illnesses, toddler twins, money stresses, etc. And overcame the 7 year itch wedding anniversary in August. A few months ago things were so awful that I even had (not really serious) thoughts of escaping Shock

But we're over it now!

He just came home in his work suit and he looked great! Kind of Don Draper smart:) Saw him in the kitchen just now preparing a nice dinner now, and thought he looked great, so handsome and sexy! I actually walked out with a basket of laundry grinning from ear to ear!

Am seeing him in a new light, the sex (blush) and romance is better than ever. I was even fantasizing about him when I was stuck in traffic doing the school run with the 3 kids in the back fighting and crying Grin.

Am I being vomit-inducing or AIBU to tell you all that I feel very lucky to have such a handsome, kind husband that I love very much and why haven't I noticed him in months/years?

I can't possibly say whether YABU or not without a picture. Don't worry he can have his clothes on.

LaurieFairyCake · 06/09/2012 20:56

Obviously not unreasonable - I adore mine, even though he's as much of an arse as I am sometimes Grin

As a therapist who sees a lot of couples I come home sometimes and feel a swell of affection for him even if he's staring into space [and thinking about cricket]

missymoomoomee · 06/09/2012 20:57

Agree with Jamie, we need pictures to have a good old perv make an informed opinion Grin

Goofus · 06/09/2012 20:59

YANBU.
It's nice to remember who the person is that you fell in love with. Better than looking at them like you wanna kill them anyway! Grin

Lushgreenfields · 06/09/2012 21:00

Leave the bastard!!

NotAnAxeMurderer · 06/09/2012 21:01

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 06/09/2012 21:02

YANBU! What a lovely post.

I fancy the pants off mine too, after 13 years together and 26 years of knowing each other.

YANBU, my husband is the most amazing, wonderful man, he is absolutely my hero and one day I will be able to tell you all why.

Anonymumous · 06/09/2012 21:07

I have a sneaky feeling that the 'failing to notice him' bit might have a little bit to do with the toddler twins?!

Anyway, YANBU but make sure you tell your husband too!

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 06/09/2012 21:09

ooh why can't you tell us now, whattodo?

Its complicated and very sad and all to do with legal stuff, so for now I have to be silent.

But one day I am going to tell everyone how wonderful he is and how there are people out there who will do the right thing, no matter what the personal cost to themselves.

He is amazing, we all hope we would do the right thing, but I dont think we ever know, DH has done the right thing, at huge cost.

JamieandOscarSittinginATree · 06/09/2012 21:45

Wow whatodo. I don't know what it is but it sounds impressive ...

OP - YA of course NBU. Glad you are over the rocky bit.

Alliwantisaroomsomewhere · 06/09/2012 21:52

Lauriewotsits: you have put my feelings into words - I feel "a swell of affection" for my Dh,too! Not that huge swoony "ooh ooh I lurv him!" kind of stuff. Just a full hearted swell of affection. Love it! Smile And utter comfort when I could cry on his shoulder - literally sobbing on his shoulder - barely 5 minutes after he came in from work after I got some Shock kind of news.

OP: get a room, love! Grin

PS My DH just farted. That swelling heart has risen to swollen olfactory senses...........

GoldandOrangeAnnunziata · 06/09/2012 21:54

Yanbu, how lovely to hear! Mine came in the other day, sang to me, twirled me about the kitchen and gave me a kiss, I was soo delighted.

Natnat29 · 06/09/2012 22:04

TheGOLDCunnyFunt · 07/09/2012 11:30

Yanbu.

I fancy DP like mad when he gets home from work, he's a road worker and wears flurescent orange trousers and fluorescent yellow top, and he gets home and he's all dirty and sweaty (bleurgh!), although it's a bit gross I find it really sexy Blush
