To think that Joules wellies are total crap.

Bought some, they weren't cheap but looked nice. Wore them a couple of times and they leaked like mad. We haven't got a joules shop near me and they'd been bought on holiday.

Joules told me to post them back and emailed me a postage label. Boots have gone missing. PO won't refund as they say the address isn't a recogognised address.

Both joules and PO are ignoring my emails.

I don't know who I'm more pissed off at. Certainly wouldn't recommend Joules for either their customer service or their poor quality boots.

Can you call them?
They must have a number and from there you can ask to talk to someone in customer services.

Yes, I was put off hunters as well. But these were terrible. I stood in a shallow puddle and the water poured in. By the end of a muddy walk the water in the boots was up to the top of the boots. Obviously they're only ankle boots.

I kept having to stop and pour the water out. My feet weren't just a bit damp!

I've bought some £10 dunlops now and while they might be ugly my feet are dry.

Always bought DD Joules wellies from the time she first walked to when she was 9. Great wellies that fitted her calfs well and she could walk, ride do anything in them - particularly as had good heels. I couldn't recommend them enough for children.

However the older sizes are awful (too baggy and twee) and we've just bought her a pair of Hunters because they are excellent for 9 to teenagers.

We both wear Le Chameaus though and are very happy with them. Definitely wouldn't buy Hunters or Joules for an adult.

I don't really see the point in ringing them. They're not going to do anything now I don't have the actual boots which they'd wanted to test.

Joules never seem to have enough grip, we always stick with hunters or dunlop landmaster.

But it's their bloody fault the PO won't give me a refund.

Tough of course joules would just say of course it's a proper addsress. It probably is, but PO computer says no and that's the end of that.

Supermarket/Shoe Zone wellies. They're cheap, cheerful and if they split or leak after a few months you don't care because they only cost a tenner. It's the way forward. [waits to be flamed because cheap wellies are made from the tears of kittens and will make feet shrivel a la wicked witch of the west]

Don't be fooled by the price into thinking Joules wellies are better than the cheap brands for practical uses.

They are a fashion welly designed to look good, nothing more.

I bought some Tesco wellies and they badly split after only two wears, not worth it at all.

I currently have Hunters, and they seem to be working just fine. I spend my Sunday's ankle deep in pig shit (I volunteer on a farm) and they have got on just fine (though the straps on the sides have been eaten off by the pigs :/) I find my feet are sore by the end of the day though, so when my Hunters die I want to find a really comfortable water-proof boot.

I've had mines for almost a year and love them. I wear them all the time (live on a farm) and have never leaked.

I would post a complaint on their fb or Twitter account. They won't ignore you then! Good luck!

I've bought three pairs of cheap wellies since March. All three leaked within a month. I walk through the woods daily. I just want strong, comfortable wellies!

Mine leaked too, lasted a year and then died. Ugly green wellies are the way forward i think...

Joules have asked me to message them with my address on fb and have said they'll look into it.

Social media complaining is definetly the way forward. For £35 I'll shut up, but otherwise I can spam their fb page all day. Well until they ban me!

I'm so disappointed with Joules. My parents live near .Market Harborough (where Joules are based) and we have had loads of things over the years. The quality has gone decidedly down hill, the prices have gone very sharply up, and the customer service has gone from that of a small family company to a large, aggressive company. I think their wellies are basically fashion accessories, rather than serviceable wet weather shoes, sadly

My friend's Joules wellibobs (short ones) split on two pairs in the same place. Can you save up for leather wellies? Toggi etc make them, much more comfortable & waterproof.

If you want really comfortable, warm, long lasting and totally waterproof boots you can't beat MuckBoots. Most of the horsey people here would recommend them. I've had mine 4 years and they are still perfect!
