Bought some, they weren't cheap but looked nice. Wore them a couple of times and they leaked like mad. We haven't got a joules shop near me and they'd been bought on holiday.

Joules told me to post them back and emailed me a postage label. Boots have gone missing. PO won't refund as they say the address isn't a recogognised address.

Both joules and PO are ignoring my emails.

I don't know who I'm more pissed off at. Certainly wouldn't recommend Joules for either their customer service or their poor quality boots.

I have a friend who works for the company there made in China out of cheap rubber and they all leak there always having to give refunds

My wellies are from Countrywide - extremely ugly but only cost £17, and I've worn them nearly every day to walk the dog for four years. I gave up in fashionable wellies when every pair I owne sprang a leak within a few weeks.

I know this is an old thread but wanted everyone to know that even the 2014 stock leaks! Joules are refusing to do anything about it as I've had the wellies approx 10 months. I wore them for 5 days at a festival and got them out of the box last week to wear in a little ready for this years festival but they leak!

I used to work somewhere that sold wellies. We would have people returning Hunter and Joules wellies weekly. Dunlops are good, hardly ever had those returned but would agree that Muckbootz are worth paying extra for.

Dealing with Joules was a nightmare, they were completely incompetent. Delivering the wrong items, delivering at the wrong time, delivering to the wrong place etc was a common occurrence. Trying to sort problems out with them usually meant being passed from person to person and none of them having a clue what they were talking about. I don't miss dealing with them

I was really disappointed that mine sprung a leak after 2 years. I'm now onto Hunter's, pleased so far but not really expecting them to last 20 years like my last pair did, they were still fine but we emigrated to sunnier climes and I got rid of them.

I have Joules wellies as my pouncing about wellies. I have used huntress wellies (they are different wider calf) in various guises as my work wellies for the last 20 years there have been 4 pairs in that time. They have never leaked just been replaced as the grips have worn smooth and I had falling arse over tit in a yard full of cow shit. My days of needing work wellies are drawing to a close and the pair I am using are nearing the end of their life. As a present I intend to get pink huntress wellies afterwards could never have them before the farmers would have laughed.

Their Head office is just down the road from me and my sister works there. They have been based there for many years.
Unless the returns went to their distribution centre which is in another nearby town, but again they have been based there for years too!

FWIW me and my 2 sisters have wellies from there and have had no problems with leaking/splitting etc. but I would never pay full price for them, I only have them as DS gets 50% off

I bought pretty Cath Kidsons and they split about 6 months after I bought them. I replaced them with Hunters and have been really happy with them

My joules expensive red Welles with a bow look fantastic, look brand new but leak like a sieve around the seams. The first time I wore them I thought my feet were damp but it was a really cold day so put on warm socks when I got home. The second time I went in the river with them and definite dampness. They were new with tags and bag off eBay so I can't return!

If you want really comfortable, warm, long lasting and totally waterproof boots you can't beat MuckBoots. Most of the horsey people here would recommend them. I've had mine 4 years and they are still perfect!

My friend's Joules wellibobs (short ones) split on two pairs in the same place. Can you save up for leather wellies? Toggi etc make them, much more comfortable & waterproof.

Don't be fooled by the price into thinking Joules wellies are better than the cheap brands for practical uses.

After reading this thread i'd never buy a pair of Joules wellies!

Ten posts and three of them saying how rubbish they turned out to be!

I'm so disappointed with Joules. My parents live near .Market Harborough (where Joules are based) and we have had loads of things over the years. The quality has gone decidedly down hill, the prices have gone very sharply up, and the customer service has gone from that of a small family company to a large, aggressive company. I think their wellies are basically fashion accessories, rather than serviceable wet weather shoes, sadly
