stay up late watching CSI repeats
Read until 1 in the morning if I feel like it.
Wake up as late as possible (with 3 DCs around)
Make a cup of tea and take it back up to bed leaving DCs with breakfast and DVDs
MN for a while
Read my book maybe
Talk to the cats
Have a relaxed bath
Then get going and do all of the stuff that needs done: washing, cleaning, shopping, tidying plus the occasional activity with DCs.
MIL and DP are very disapproving. Say I am wasting the best part of the day. DP says he like to get up early and why do we never do anything and how he loves to get out and take a walk or ride his bike. Hey knock yourself out honey, I ain't stopping you!
Plus it's not as if he is doing the household stuff. He gets up early, gets on his computer, has a coffee and then might go on a bike ride.

sounds good to me.

kids don't need occupying 24/7 and with the weather this summer holiday it was better to stay in doors.

mmm... fantastic..

some people have the ability to disapprove of any ay of living that is not a carbon copy of theirs...

Sounds lovely. Messing around doing nothing in the hols is really good for kids if you ask me, it's nice for them to have some unstructured time.

Aren't you ever allowed to have a break from routine? Or do they think holidays are for other people, not for mothers? Confused

If he's that desperate to do something with the dcs why didn't he take them out bike riding etc by himself?

Ah well the alarm is turned back on to wake me up tomorrow morning. The PE bags are packed, new shoes labelled and all school uniform present and correct. Back to the old routine.
