she comes round my house and she helps me out alot. she is an ace friend. her humour is very dry mine can be to. she swear alot i do to sometimes. everyone including the kids will get into a swearing match. such as. slag, fucker, bitch, hoe, and so on. when my 5 year said cunt she had a rigth go at him saying its a really bad word and he shoudl say that. but its ok for her to say fucker and all the other things and she seems to think my kids should now the difference between cunt and fucker.

and today everyone was messing about flicking hair bands at each other. so my 5 year old started doing it to. and she said if he can dish it out he can take it. if he flicks me i will flick him back and if he gets hurt its his own fault. she will start theses things then when she has has enough she has a go at everyone.

i give up. was nothing to do with spelling or grammar. i have dyslexia so that why the spelling grammer is no good. i did not say at any point it was ok for my children to swear, but i was just trying to explain what happens when friend comes over

You should not allow this kind of swearing to go on in front of your young children - your friend is an idiot to swear like that and you are an idiot for allowing your kids to hear this and swear like this.

I despair.

msnaughty · 03/09/2012 19:58

i cant block their ears. of course i can say something to friend to tone it down

ErikNorseman · 03/09/2012 20:00

You can tell your friend to be quiet!

SoleSource · 03/09/2012 20:01

Yabu five is way too old to just start being.proud of their swearing.

My child first word was cunt at 3 months old.

Camusfearna · 03/09/2012 20:02

Hokey, I guessed it must be meant to mean 'whore', just couldn't see how it would come out as 'hoe'. Many thanks for enlightening me that it should be 'ho' - I am obviously soooo not down with the kids! [hobbles off, joints creaking]

MrsKeithRichards · 03/09/2012 20:02

Your friend comes over and you all sit a swear and have swearing competitions?

Nice.

I'm common as fuck, but this is schemie as anything

msnaughty · 03/09/2012 20:03

indeed i can erik, and will do. its not just about the swear words but that she seems to think my chidren should know the difference between one swear word and another to them its just naughty words. and swearing at/to my kids then telling then not to swear but even more so the word cunt

GhostShip · 03/09/2012 20:03

Why are you letting them swear at all? You were making a came out of it! Sorry but sort yourself out that's a disgrace

GhostShip · 03/09/2012 20:04

Game*

TheEnthusiasticTroll · 03/09/2012 20:04

chav-tastic

gimmecakeandcandy · 03/09/2012 20:08

You said your opening post that you all get into swear matches so doest sound like you make any effort to stop this or them from swearing. Are you proud to be like this? You should both be appalled at your behaviour - I despair for your children, do you want them growing up as bad mannered as you and your idiot mate?

ChaoticismyLife · 03/09/2012 20:09

everyone including the kids will get into a swearing match.

Maybe it was this? Hmm

Portofino · 03/09/2012 20:11

If you are genuine you should be totally ashamed. HTH.

LineRunner · 03/09/2012 20:12

I simply weep for the youth of today, I really fucking do.

msnaughty · 03/09/2012 20:12

i did say i some time swaer alot. but i did not mean infrunt of the kids. im not apart of this swearing type match. it was hard to stop it today and to talk to her because everyone talks at once and its impossible to be heard. there were 9 people all in my living room.

OP posts:
EverybodysDoeEyed · 03/09/2012 20:13

Maybe you should ask your mate to explain what each swear word actually means and then explain how she would rank them in order of rudeness and why

and then you might want to figure out how you are going to explain all the swearing to your sons teacher

GhostShip · 03/09/2012 20:15

msnaughty then you need to start taking responsibility and get this friggin sorted because it is a disgrace. You're their mum, they should know NOT to say anything like that at all never mind in front of you. Obviously the fact they've felt they could is because you aren't teaching them and disciplining them probably. I really hate to criticise enyone's parenting but this is beyond a joke. No wonder kids are growing up to be complete nd utter fuckwits.

ShirleyO · 03/09/2012 20:15

So.

What was the question again?

mrsfassbender · 03/09/2012 20:19

OP YANBU but you definitely need to put a stop to the swearing matches. Your friend shouldn't be using language like this in your house and you need to be more assertive in telling her so, and maybe not leave it til you have her and her kids in your house. The hair band flicking sounds ridiculous as well, so YANBU about that either. Think other posters are pointing out the fact this is really immature and inappropriate to put it mildly and you need to sort it out. How old are you if you don't mind me asking?

msnaughty · 03/09/2012 20:19

ghostship: i see your point. i find it hard to punish them for something they are repeating that an adult says to them. so i think its my friend i need to tell to stop. that way the kids should do as well.

OP posts:
HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 03/09/2012 20:20

What mrsfassbender said.

GetOrfAKAMrsUsainBolt · 03/09/2012 20:21

Tell your friend to stop fucking swearing in front of the kids.
