To want to swear at owner of house next door?!

Please note that I was nothing but polite... But I don't think I would have been unreasonable to swear profusely!

Next door neighbours rent their house (they are lovely!) and landlord has been doing some maintenance while they are out (they do know about this!)

Today is a lovely sunny day, but quite windy and blustery - a "good drying day".

So, landlord decides that he will SPRAY paint the joint boundary fence on his side Hmm - and I now have pebble dashed washing (three loads hanging out, although it's only the outer ring on the rotary airer that's been hit) and a speckled car! Angry

To be fair, he came and apologised, but managed to wake DS from his nap,, and then had to ask for water to wash the car as next door are out and he needed hot soapy water. I meanwhile have got to rewash washing that was virtually dry (been out since 10am!) Angry

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!

As I say, I was polite and neighbourly and terribly British about the whole incident, but I so wanted to rage and swear!

Ooh I would have been livid - did the marks come out?

You did the right thing by being polite, it was unintentional and he has corrected some of the wrongs but I'd have muttered some choice words under my breath about waking a napping DS though. I hate it when time is wasted like that and tasks have to be redone.

I hope the marks have come out of your washing.

He probably didnt realise what had happened until he was finished & he apologised. He could have just left it & pretended nothing happened.

If you cant get the marks out the clothes i would probably have a word with him about replacing the clothes.

Well everything restored to normal. Marks appear to have come out (although washing still damp so not easy to tell Hmm )

DS looking like he's flagging though so bedtime will be interesting !
