There's a Wenlock on Leicester square I found him yesterday

nancy75 · 01/09/2012 15:11

Look on the mayor od London presents website, in the bit called stroll, it has the maps for all of them.

nancy75 · 01/09/2012 15:13

By the way there are over eighty, spread across London, so if you want to see them all tomorrow you need to leave at the crack of dawn!

ChippyMinton · 01/09/2012 15:16

find them here

We've found a few around Covent Garden, Trafalger Square, South Bank.

My favourite is a TeamGB Mandeville at the south end of Westminster Bridge. He's tucked away at the top of the County Hall steps. Smile

I them.

ChippyMinton · 01/09/2012 15:17

Oh, and they are much bigger than 2ft - more like 6ft on their plinths but surprisingly hard to spot.

Fuzzywood · 01/09/2012 15:18

There are at least 5 in Regent's Park. The Sherlock Wenlock was my favourite. We did a nice loop around with the DC and some friends last weekend.

maillotjaune · 01/09/2012 15:19

You can download an app if you have a smartphone which gives you the map Nancy mentioned and shows you all the mascots.

Each trail is approx 4km I think so you'd be going some to get through all of them. O can recommend the City one starting at Tower bridge south bank end and going to Regents Pk on Monday.

psynl · 01/09/2012 15:19

I would definitely look at the website. Just looked now and we must have walked past loads without realising!

Acekicker · 01/09/2012 18:10

At Liverpool St (and I presume other mainline stations) they have a stand with the London Ambassadors, thy have maps which how the routes, although not the exact locations on each iyswim. We went hunting earlier this week and had a great time, got to see loads of bits of London we normally wouldn't.

foofooyeah · 01/09/2012 18:13

Im going Tuesday and cant wait! Printing off all the maps tomorrow and going to be proper touristy and photgraph DS with them all

ActionLiposomes · 01/09/2012 18:37

We visited every single one of the eighty-odd statues. We followed the 6 walks on the mayor of London website to find them all.

We did it over 2 days and walked about 17 miles in the process. It's a great way to see London

Hulababy · 01/09/2012 18:53

Either side of Millenium Bridge.
Another one near Golden Hinde

OutragedAtThePriceOfFreddos · 01/09/2012 18:56

There's two near the tower of London, and you get to see the symbol on tower bridge there too.

There are marked walks/journeys that you can do to see them all. Of you really want to see every one, do one of those.

alphabite · 01/09/2012 18:57

River path between Bankside and Waterloo.

OutragedAtThePriceOfFreddos · 01/09/2012 18:58

Anyone know how long they are going to be there for? Will they disappear as soon as the Paralympics is over? Torch

ChippyMinton · 01/09/2012 19:03

until 9th sept, then being auctioned off Smile

For those not in London, there are a few at venues or host towns eg Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead.

DowagersHump · 01/09/2012 19:16

ActionLiposomes - are you going to upload a photo journey? I would really like to see them all without having to click on every single link on the mol webiste

ActionLiposomes · 01/09/2012 19:35

Dowagers - sorry, most of the pictures have one of us posing with the statue, so would be a big outage issue !

DowagersHump · 01/09/2012 19:41

Of course :o

I'm dead impressed - I've only seen a few (but don't live in London any more).

We did go on an elephant hunt a few years ago which was really good fun :)

ArthurShappey · 01/09/2012 19:42

There's a Big Ben one on the Southbank.

ThePigOnTheWall · 01/09/2012 19:47

OOO thank you! I am going to take the kids to do this next Saturday!

DowagersHump · 01/09/2012 20:21

Actually we haven't got any plans next weekend! Maybe we could do at least one trail on the saturday :)
