To think a lot of MNers are cynical and argumentative just for the sake of it?

That's it, like it says.
Seems a lot of people just like to flame other people for no good reason than they just can. Seen a lot of negativity in threads carried on when the party doing so could easily have made their point and walked away.
So much for the sisterhood.

OP posts:
McHappyPants2012 · 01/09/2012 00:46

pot kettle black.

AgentZigzag · 01/09/2012 00:47

Any particular thread you're talking about?

What's 'sisterhood' got to do with it?

Some people are permanently locked into shitty mode when they click the tab to open up MN.

If you post on the internet you have to accept you're going to post alongside people who think their anonymity allows them to act like twats.

First rule of the net isn't it?

MrsTerryPratchett · 01/09/2012 00:47

And tons are supportive, knowledgeable and wise. Don't spend your time on AIBU go to sleep or feeding.

FutTheShuckUp · 01/09/2012 00:47

Leave the bastard

AnnieLobeseder · 01/09/2012 00:48

I don't actually believe a word you're saying, and think you're actually quite entitled and rude to even be posting it.

AnnieLobeseder · 01/09/2012 00:49
Blush
tethersend · 01/09/2012 00:49

I'm not argumentative, and I'll punch anyone who says otherwise.

WorraLiberty · 01/09/2012 00:49

Hmmm but what exactly is this 'sisterhood'?

I see it typed now and then but truly don't understand what it means...unless as I suspect it means different things to different people?

If someone accused me of letting the 'sisterhood' down because they don't agree with my POV, then I really don't give a low flying shite because my opinion is my own.

Just that really.

McHappyPants2012 · 01/09/2012 00:50

how do i do a blank post inbox me yawn yawn

DioneTheDiabolist · 01/09/2012 00:50

It's the end of the Summer holidays. Of course we're cynical and argumentative. The world is lucky we're managing to stay the right side of homicidal. Jeez.Hmm

Mother2many · 01/09/2012 00:52

While voicing a different opinion is normal... continuing on and keeping an eye on that "post"... isn't necessary to disagree more...

I'm sure I've done it too, but I think your right! Negative thinking, thoughts and attitudes sometimes....

24Hours · 01/09/2012 00:53

I hate the snidey way 'susterhood' is invoked. Its only ever used to score a point - really means ye wimmin are a nasty shower .

NellyJob · 01/09/2012 00:53

So much for the sisterhood
what fucking sisterhood?

WorraLiberty · 01/09/2012 00:54

Dione that is so true and in my opinion, should be taken into consideration by every court in the land Grin

AgentZigzag · 01/09/2012 00:54

That you should accept and embrace other womens opinions and their right to state them as they wish because you're a woman worra.

Anything otherwise would be demonstrating your unconscious acquiescence to the male dominated order Wink

Bang goes your right to disagree then, and MNs existence.

McHappyPants2012 · 01/09/2012 00:54

op where are ewwwww

AgentZigzag · 01/09/2012 00:56

I agree as well Dione, I was keeping my frustration in with DD1 so much today that steam definitely was coming out of my ears.

AnnieLobeseder · 01/09/2012 00:56

While voicing a different opinion is normal... continuing on and keeping an eye on that "post"... isn't necessary to disagree more...

If they don't come around to your blindingly obvious way of thinking, then of course you need to keep disagreeing more and more loudly, CULMINATING IN BOLD CAPS!!!!

WorraLiberty · 01/09/2012 00:56

I've only ever seen the sisterhood mentioned on MN

No-one in real life has ever mentioned it to me thank fuck

But having been on MN for about a year and a half now, I've only ever seen it as a negative thing...usually to make women feel guilty for being strong enough to voice their own personal opinions.

AgentZigzag · 01/09/2012 00:58

Yes, the OP's not very supporting of us 'sisters' is he she McH?

McHappyPants2012 · 01/09/2012 01:01

just typical, thread and run. yawn

AgentZigzag · 01/09/2012 01:02

I can't imagine anyone I know would be up for discussing anything to do with feminism in my RL Grin

It's just not really conversational is it?

Which is a bit of a shame really, because it's that crossover into real life that it needs to make if it's to go anywhere.

All people remember it for is the vitriol passion some people seem to have for the subject.

neverknowinglyunreasonable · 01/09/2012 01:02

You take that back before I make you take it back.

neverknowinglyunreasonable · 01/09/2012 01:03

Oh wait.... I mean yeah, that can happen.

McHappyPants2012 · 01/09/2012 01:05
