Blah blah. Legal to have sex and drink with meals and join the army and all that shit.

I Don't Care.

I want my baby in before dark.

I am putting down my foot and insisting.

So there.

What do they make of that?

LadyBeagleEyes · 31/08/2012 21:07

It's coming up for winter, It'll be dark by 4.30 soon.
What will you do then?

MrsRobertDuvallHasRosacea · 31/08/2012 21:07

It's dark at 4pm in November.

LaurieFairyCake · 31/08/2012 21:08

Surely 4pm is a bit early.

Do you not let them walk to school before 8 either Wink

FutTheShuckUp · 31/08/2012 21:09

No way would I have done that at 16, not a chance. Its pitch dark here now at 9pm, you'd have had more chance pinning diarrhoea to the wall than getting me in at 9pm

workshy · 31/08/2012 21:10

well I'm not really sure 6yo should be out.......oh hang on a minute.......you said 16?

YABU

SheelaNeGig · 31/08/2012 21:10

She is out.

I think i should text her to order her home.

YABU if you insist it in December, yes.

Pick an actual time on the clock, not "dark".

SandStorm · 31/08/2012 21:11

If I was 16 and you sent me text ordering me home I would stay out longer than I'd intended just to make a point.

honeytea · 31/08/2012 21:11

YANBU to want them home before dark. YADBU to ask them to be home before dark.

What will you do in less than 2 years when they are in a student flat or a youth hostel in peru, get them to call you when they are safely back home?

What if they move to Sweden, it doesn't get light till 10 and it goes dark at 2!

noddyholder · 31/08/2012 21:12

Just ask her to text you when she is out after a certain time so that you know she is ok. My ds still does

NarkedRaspberry · 31/08/2012 21:12

Are you worried about vampires?

SheelaNeGig · 31/08/2012 21:13

I foolishly said

'bye darling. Have a nice time. Don't have unprotected sex or get too pissed'

Rather than

'goodbye dear. Be back before dark and do some studying before bed'.
