I received a Mother's Day card from DS that said on the front " You're Like A Mother To Me " I pointed out that I was ,in fact, his mother ( I was there and it made my eyes smart ) To which he responded " I know that but you act like a mother ...winge, winge, nag, nag .

My DS's wonderful and eccentric godfather signs cards with 'Jeffdave' His name is Jeff, but DS (5) keeps confusing him with our other good friend Dave (no idea why - they look and are completely different!) Luckily, Jeff thinks it's hysterical, and so signs with his new 'name' .

Jeffdave also knits every DC a great hat. DC3 (who he has nicknamed Bubbles) will be wearing her winged helmet in about three weeks (though probably not immediately....)

Seems obvious to me that your DB is referring to a distant time in the past (since you've clearly forgotten it) when you told him you fancied Kenneth Branagh. So he is throwing in some kisses 'from' KB as a sort of present, iyswim, maybe.
