A card from 'Julian Assange' might cause a stir ... Glad to hear that firemansamisnormansdad had a good day in the end and I'm looking forward to your update Smile

At least he gave you a card Smile my brother buys me chocolates and then eats them himself. Every year.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 31/08/2012 11:55

how wonderfully odd.

firemansamisnormansdad · 31/08/2012 18:30

No answer from DB. I fear we shall never know the truth....

I'm guessing he thinks he looks like Kenneth Branagh. Does he?

firemansamisnormansdad · 31/08/2012 18:39

No. He looks like Toby Young / William Hague.

He's a journalist and novellist who wrote "how to influence people and lose friends"or something. They turned it into a film with Simon Pegg.

I hate it when people put the year on their Christmas cards. Do they really think I keep my cards every year, and go through them from time to time? Oh look there's the card Jane sent me in 1996. I'm soooooo glad she wrote the year on it. I could swear she sent one with a robin and some ivy that year, but now I know different. Relief all round Grin

BestIsWest · 31/08/2012 19:00

And don't forget the free schools.

MissKeithLemon · 31/08/2012 19:00

This thread has just made my eyes fill up with tears of laughter Grin

I will definitely be using the nekkid couplings line in the next wedding greeting I write!

I am thinking of a suitably silly appropriate name to use in birthday cards from now on - ideas anyone?

firemansamisnormansdad · 31/08/2012 19:15

Ah yes, forgot about the free schools and his revived columnist career!

Keith Lemon?

kakapo · 31/08/2012 20:14

How did you know it was from your brother?!

firemansamisnormansdad · 31/08/2012 20:21

Because he said "love from DB, SIL and DC (Kenneth Branagh) so i know it was def from him :)

avivabeaver · 31/08/2012 20:52

My old mate Michelle used to sign all her cards "love from Michelle and Dudley Moore" -it was a long time ago but made us laugh like drains

kakapo · 01/09/2012 07:06

Weird Grin

butterflyroom · 01/09/2012 08:27

This is brilliant and I've laughed out loud. Cheered me up big time! x

PooPooOnMars · 01/09/2012 15:55

Does the dc look like Kenneth Brannagh?

CouthyMow · 01/09/2012 16:04

My brother sent me a Christmas card with nothing inside it. Blank. It had a hand drawn Christmas tree on the front, and was blank inside.

The label on the envelope (not handwritten) was typed, and I was Confused as to who had sent me it. I thought it was one of my DC's friends. Blush My Dbro is NOT an artist...

It took me 3 weeks to find out who the fuck had sent me the damn thing!

MinnieBar · 01/09/2012 16:05

Yes, that clearly says to me that he's not signing as KB himself, it's for one of the DCs. Hopefully it all makes perfect sense now?

firemansamisnormansdad · 01/09/2012 18:13

DC doesn't look like KB - he's only 9months old! Well, this plot thickens because the card itself was one of those e-cards so DB didn't physically sign it but just typed the words in, probably at 11 pm after a bottle of red wine. Or did he? I've texted him twice and he won't reply even though I've said that you lovely ladies are desperate to know the truth!

FRAZER that is so funny! The mind boggles! Is the nanny Julie Andrews as well? Couldn't be Emma Thompson as Nanny McPhee.#awkward.
