Is it a witty allusion to Branagh's role in the Olympic ceremony?

Ken B was Brunel in the Olympic Ceremony. Is your DB an engineer?
Plus - he quoted from The Tempest (as Brunel). Is your DB on an island?

YouMakeMeWanna. Your brother is fab :)
Thought went into that.

Op, WTF is right. Kenneth Branagh? Did you ask him yet what he meant.

I think he is on his own island in his head.

I don't know if I am more astonished that there are grown ups who have never heard of Kenneth Branagh, or that Kenneth Branagh = professor Lockheart

Does he work in IT? According to Google Apparently Kenneth Branagh is slang for computer scanner. But probably only among sad nerds.

My brother does the best birthday cards with drawings and bits of twig, stone, pennies inside. It is a long standing family tradition that he does 'odd' cards, often signed from different people, all dating back to when he was a little boy. Brightens up birthdays no end.

Write a thank you card for the birthday card and sign it from Helen Mirren?

I'm going to sign all my greetings cards "Kenneth Branagh" from now on. Especially the relatives I don't see very often.

While we're all sharing, my brother once signed our next-door neighbour's Christmas card with the word "Slight" and a drawing of that symbol they used to have on the weather that showed when the sea would be a little bit rough.

Art thou sure he isn't Ken though? Hast thou been estranged for over 40 years perchance? Wink

Oh my goodness teamumizumi "Who's Kenneth Branagh anyway?"

He's hiding something. Kenneth Brannagh is an actor, it's his way of saying that he's pretending about something. Perhaps. Or he could have been pissed when he wrote the card, or even has issues about something you said to him in the past. Who knows. Brothers are weird, it is their destiny. I had four.

Could you please just phone him and ask him? I really want to know now.

Has he recently been mistaken for mouldering president Abraham Lincoln?

What Chub said. I am more Shock that people don't know who he is than at the OPs brother.

Grin at 'ie your father.' That's brilliant.

Maybe your brother was watching a Kenneth Branagh film and got muddled up?

"now that you are married, your naked couplings will no longer make the baby Jesus cry" is hilarious. I wish someone would produce Wedding cards with that printed inside. Grin

I do this with DH. Last year's Valentine's card was from Zoe Wanamaker.

Maybe KB met him and they got him to sign the card. I once got a card signed by <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.ca/imgres?um=1&hl=en&sa=N&biw=1280&bih=709&tbm=isch&tbnid=oOUJnba6NEUqhM:&imgrefurl=www.rotosoundonline.com/electric-guitar/tricky/&imgurl=www.rotosoundonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/tricky1.jpg&w=400&h=400&ei=7sM_UJGhL-ftiQLL74DYDQ&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=186&vpy=176&dur=876&hovh=225&hovw=225&tx=106&ty=127&sig=101652942560651010940&page=1&tbnh=146&tbnw=157&start=0&ndsp=18&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:0,i:113" rel="nofollow noindex" target="_blank">Tricky from my ExH for my birthday.
