DH says I am being U.

We can forget any summer really, can't we? I am sick of not knowing how to dress (looks cloudy/cold but is actually humid and sticky or looks sunny/warm but pisses down later) so you have to take out raincoats just in case etc etc.

At least in autumn/winter we know where we stand: it's boots and coats and that's it. No faffing about.

Plus autumn/winter is the realm of Strictly Come Dancing and boxes of chocolates on the sofa with the heating on full whack.

Am I right? of course I am. Wink

LOL I know what you mean. I never know what to wear, but find that a tunic and leggings works quite well unless it happens to be boiling!

New series of Downton Abbey in Sept too yay!

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 28/08/2012 10:48

YANBU. Agree wholeheartedly.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 28/08/2012 10:48

Yanbu in my opinion. I'm desperate for some cold weather. I can handle heat, just not this humidity. I'm sick of being stuck to things and drenched in sweat. In cold weather you can fling another layer on but in hot/humid there are only so many layers you can take off and still be in public!

EnglishGirlApproximately · 28/08/2012 10:48

I love Autumn! Best time of year for clothes and telly and I can start cooking lovely stews and pies again Grin

McHappyPants2012 · 28/08/2012 10:51

halloween [hsmile] lovely soups and stews and knowing how to dress < reminds me to order some snow boots>

sugarice · 28/08/2012 10:52

I'm with you, I've had enough of the summer Hmm now. I want cool mornings, layers, scarves around my neck and opaque tights. Oh yeah and Strictly. Grin

ExitStencilist · 28/08/2012 10:53

missmatched · 28/08/2012 10:54

I bought some autum clothes yesterday, cant wait to wear them.I went into one shop and seen a girl in a hat and gloves, she's obv had enough of summer too.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 28/08/2012 10:55

I'm looking forward to meeting my baby in Nov but also to wearing hats, scarfs and gloves and fireworks! Stews, thick soups and breads, hot chocolate and snuggling with the 3 boys and DP on the sofa with a brew. there is nothing comforting about summer for me, I long for crunchy leaves and frost!

CuriousMama · 28/08/2012 10:56

YANBU this pathetic excuse of a summer is getting on my tits.

glastocat · 28/08/2012 10:56

Pickles77 · 28/08/2012 10:58

I would like autum too, BUT last November I've just been reminded of being sat outside at 8pm having a BBQ and it being humid!

SpanglyGiraffe · 28/08/2012 10:59

YADNBU I'm always saying the same thing.
I'm fed up of having to takes coats out "just in case" and never knowing what to dress DS & myself in. It drives me mad!

Snog · 28/08/2012 11:04

This summer has been like autumn anyhow so 2 autumns in one year imo!
I was an autumn baby and I love it too!

akaemmafrost · 28/08/2012 11:06

QuenelleOJersey2012 · 28/08/2012 11:06

It is autumn.

The mushrooms have been out for a month now and leaves are falling off the trees.

MarysBeard · 28/08/2012 11:08

I am really enjoying the summer weather. Sun rain sun rain and about 17C to 21C. What's not to like? And it's glorious out today. I fucking HATE it when it's unnaturally warm for long periods.

aufaniae · 28/08/2012 11:16

I love autumn! I could feel a bit of an autumn breeze yesterday and it was lovely :)

I'm not particularly keen on summer. Too hot! It makes me feel drowzy, irritable and uncomfortable, I just can't think straight when it's roasting. Also I'm fair so bright sun makes me squint.

When autumn comes I feel like I'm waking up again! I love the colours, smells, crisp mornings and autumn plants. Good things happen in autumn :)

I know summer-lovers think that's weird! But I just don't enjoy the sun, my body's just not built for it I think. My idea of hell is sitting in hot sunny rays all day!

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 28/08/2012 11:20

Autumn is my absolute favourite season. Perfect temperature, beautiful colours and comfy clothes, oh and yummy food and decent tv.
