....her Blackberry makes THE most annoying clickety clicking noise when she texts. Grrr. And for some perspective, she uses up her 5000 text per month allowance every month so it's CONSTANT. I'm ready to bin the bloody thing! Anyone else have a BB owning teen? Sad

Does she not contribute to the cost herself?

TrinityRhino · 27/08/2012 20:55

surely you can turn off the noise

picnicbasketcase · 27/08/2012 20:55

Just the sound of the keys or a tone you can turn off? Never used a Blackberry

No, it's not the keypad tones, it has clicky plastic buttons which make the most grating noise.
BlackBerryIce I don't see what that has to do with annoying key noises?!

Thank god it's not just me then! It really is infuriating, I can even hear it when she's in her room!

I have one for work, I annoy myself with the clicky noise I make.

There is bugger all you can do about it, unless you want to pay for an upgrade (and then she will probably try and con you into an iphone Grin)

McHappyPants2012 · 27/08/2012 20:59

Get new buttons :)

TequilaMockinBird · 27/08/2012 20:59

Yanbu, that sound used to drive me Up the wall!

DD now has a bold though and, as someone else mentioned, it doesn't click Grin

SPsFanjoSponsoredByFemFresh · 27/08/2012 20:59

My brother has the same phone and the clucking does my head in!

What on earth has blackberryice's post got to do with the question asked in the OP? Confused

Ha ha! Looks like we need a Curve support group! She is 9 months into a contract but I'm thinking about giving her my upgrade due next month and taking it off her just for some peace and quiet. It HAS to be a BB though because of BB messenger, I'll get the Bold then I think.

It's the magnetic attraction between the damn thing and DD's eyes which bothers me!

minikimmi · 27/08/2012 21:03

When I got this for her it was on a really cheap 15 pm contract with loads of mins/texts with Tesco, it was the only BB available on that tarrif at the time. It is very cheap looking I think!

The Bold 9900 is what DD has, and apart from battery life, it's fab!

If I wasn't so attached to my iPhone, I'd definitely consider one!

Because if she is paying for it herself then the amount she uses it might decrease!!
