To not want to talk about what I want for dinner straight after throwing up?

Honestly. I am lying on the sofa after spending a good 2 hours slowly emptying my stomach of breakfast and then some (reaction to meds). Dh has flounced because a) I don't feel up to going out with the children in the rain to a park or something and b) I am not, right this second in the mood for thinking about what to eat for dinner, not while my stomach is still turning over considering I there is anything left to bring up.

Aibu, or should I just, you know, get on with it?

YANBU!

I had horrific hyperemesis during pregnancy, I couldn't even think about food without vomiting. MIL used to insist on talking to me about food then wonder why I either got arsey or ran to the loo.

PavlovtheCat · 27/08/2012 13:57

No he will cook it (usually does) but he wants me decide. And got well narked when I said I don't want to think about it just yet.

i had hyperemsis and it was horrific, so probs the same as your feeling with a reaction to meds!
even a picture of food in a magazine made me physically vom.. your 'd'h needs to fuck off and think about dinner himself..... where you cant even hear his mutterings of how to cook chicken and the such!

TallDwarf · 27/08/2012 14:08

Yanbu. Just the thought or even the slightest whiff of food makes me even more ill when I'm feeling nauseous.

Our dp is being a dick

TallDwarf · 27/08/2012 14:09

Forget about it for now. Take a nice big glass of water up to bed, maybe a little cracker to nibble on and get some rest.

PavlovtheCat · 27/08/2012 14:47

tall just done that, water, and a bread roll. at least it will be something to bring back up if nothing else!

DH has just said 'i think i am going to go shopping in a bit for something for dinner' 'ok, i am off to bed for an hour' 'what are we going to do with the children?' 'you can take them with you' 'thats going to be a bit awkward... ' 'you'll manage' .
