Yes, I judged - and I was found wanting.

Reading the story this morning about the escaped lion I saw a quote from a barman - I did not expect the words "ambled laconically" to be expressed.

AIBU to think that our media is now so dumbed down that the phrase jumped off the page and out at me?

Grin

the barman would have been gobsmacked to see the lion ambling along, unlaconically i.e. talking nineteen to the dozen

come on, its the Daily Mail (isn't it?) - dumb and dumber...

I want to know who lost a lion

I also want to know who lost a lion and what exactly the lion was saying as he ambled along, being laconic.

Well according to BBC2 he probably would've said "Raa Raa" and then made friends with a zebra.
