Just accidentally been watching celeb BB and heard him say of Samantha Brick " but she writes for the Daily Mail ::disgusted voice:: , I mean doesn't that tell you everything you need to know?"

Julian has got a tour staring quite soon - we have tickets for October!!! Smile Bet he'll get a load of his material from BB

NorbertDentressangle · 23/08/2012 16:27

lol at "accidently" watching BB.

DP is out tonight so I might accidently watch some too.

I've been tempted as I can imagine Julian Clary would be a great housemate to watch but managed to resist so far. I'm also slightly intrigued as to what Sam Brick is like

Dawndonna · 23/08/2012 16:32

I have never watched BB, but the combination of the absolutely gorgeous, clever, funny and extraordinarily talented Mr. Clary, and the idiot brick may just prove too great to resist, this evening.

NorbertDentressangle · 23/08/2012 22:12

oh dear....I'm 'accidently' watching BB.

Its just occurred to me that Julian Clary looks remarkably like an ex of mine (obviously he's not my ex but theres an uncanny resemblance!)

Secondsop · 23/08/2012 22:24

I adore him. One of my favourite moments was on Strictly, as follows:

Brucie: "So, Julian, you were the surprise entry into this final".

Julian: "I like a surprise entry".

BestIsWest · 23/08/2012 22:38

Love love Julian Clary but never got the hang of BB. He is great on Twitter, in a very funny world of his own. Love his books too.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 24/08/2012 00:24

The very first BB in the UK, and I know it wasn't the first - think that was Dutch, was fascinating. The people were thoughtful and artistic.
The winner was an ex nun, who I think was lesbian, floundering here a bit memory wise, but she was lovely, as were most of the others.

Different game now.
A shame really.

BadDayAtTheOrifice · 24/08/2012 00:39

Its nice to see him on the telly again.
Appearances have been too rare after his 'fisting Norman Lamont' incident.

CleopatrasAsp · 24/08/2012 01:42

Bewitched, Anna the Nun didn't win the first Big Brother, she came second. Craig the Builder won it after he 'accidentally' let it slip he would be giving his winnings to charity. Wink

I agree with your sentiments about the show itself though.

Nancy66 · 24/08/2012 06:59

I think he comes across as a bitter old queen.
Happily slagging off the careers of others when his own has been well and truly in the toilet for years.

Successful celebs with vibrant careers have no need to do reality shows.

His entire act is making double entendres about taking it up the arse. The height of sophisticated comedy, I'm sure.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 24/08/2012 08:33

Oh yes. I wanted Anna to win, must have rearranged it in my head!

Mrsjay · 24/08/2012 08:40

MrsJay I think Julian has had a bit of discreet work but it looks very good, doesn't it? Dewy, in fact. That sounds like a Julian double-entendre if ever I heard one

Oooer mrs Grin

well whatever it is it works Id love a dewy complexion

limitedperiodonly · 24/08/2012 08:54

I'm going off Julie. She is a manipulative fibber. I'm not a very good judge of character.

But then that's the game isn't it? Being honest about people's character traits, personal habits and strange looks may be funny doesn't get you liked. I should know Grin

If I had to name Samantha Brick's worst feature I wouldn't have pussy-footed about with some mealy-mouthed fake criticism of her roots.

I'd have said: 'You've got snaggle teeth. Get them fixed or your gorgeous husband will leave you.'

Then she'd have cried and picked up some sympathy votes and people would have huddled in groups hating me while all secretly thinking she deserved it.

Mrsjay · 24/08/2012 08:57

I have never liked Julie goodyear something about her doesn't sit right with me, I am probably being unreasonable but there is just something .......

limitedperiodonly · 24/08/2012 09:08

No. I know people who know Julie Goodyear and have told me many horrible stories of high-handed behaviour so I was all prepared to hate her.

When she seemed okay I thought I was wrong. Why trust people who've had first-hand dealings with her when you can see her on a reality show, eh?

Her lies are transparent. But she could deny being two-faced because no one ever wants confrontation and it was that nasty loon Jasmine who exposed her.

But it must be so tempting to lie when you're with stupid, vain people like The Situation.

Now he really is creepy.

'Do you want to go to the MTV awards with me? I'll buy you a dress.'

If he was asking Danica if she wanted to come round his house and see his puppy after school we'd be tipping off social services.

Mind you, she's transparent in her greed as well. And she is an adult.

forehead · 24/08/2012 09:10

Julie Goodyear is a manipulative, nasty piece of work. Simple as.

Mrsjay · 24/08/2012 09:11

anybody who calls themselves 'the situation' is a loon Hmm He is pervy and juts URGH julian had him sussed from the start , and who called Julian a bitter old queen ? i love a bitter old queen Grin

Nancy66 · 24/08/2012 09:14

During her Coronation Street days - any journalist that interviewed her was expected to take her a gift otherwise whe would cut the interview short after 5 minutes and stomp off

limitedperiodonly · 24/08/2012 09:18

If Danica does well in this she could bring out a range of pro-biotic yogurts named after her.

What does she do for a living, btw?

Mrsjay · 24/08/2012 09:21

what one is danica I get the blonde ones mixed up ,?

FalseStartered · 24/08/2012 09:21

is danica the one who makes a living out of rinsing. it's NOT prostitution you know, because she makes no secret of the fact she won't have sex with her clients Hmm

Mrsjay · 24/08/2012 09:22

I remember she was married to Justin faschinu ( oh excuse my spelling ) for a while that was a weird set up ,

Mrsjay · 24/08/2012 09:22

Julie not danica

limitedperiodonly · 24/08/2012 09:51

Yes, they mentioned 'rinsing' last night.

Is it getting taken out by rich men who want to be seen in your company who don't mind not doing sex with you?

Apart from in-the-closet gay men needing to lie to their mums I don't think there are many of those men about.

And isn't Simon Cowell taken?

WhereYouLeftIt · 24/08/2012 10:36

I watched CBB last night, well there was nothing else on the telly ...

Julian was the only one worth watching. And I don't think he came across as a bitter old queen Nancy66, nor is his career in the toilet; he simply works on radio rather than TV these days. (He is extremely witty on 'Just a Minute'.) He did seem to me to be untouched by the others - made me think of when Jack Dee did CBB. I did snort my tea a bit when he was talking about Brick in the BB chair.
