to expect my DH to spend one day with our DD without moaning?

Sorry, but i need a rant!

Over the summer hols, my DD has been looked after by childminder/grandmother as both me and DH work 5 days a week, except for the odd day where I've had to ask friends to help out when both of those have been unavailable. I have taken time off to spend with her, even though i'm not entitled to much time off (new job).

My DH is self employed, lately he has little work so has been spending time at home, which is totally fine with me. He is today supposed to be looking after DD, but conveniently has got lots of work on and taken DD to work and it's soooooo important his clients won't wait a day even though he hasn't even got the materials to finish it off! I have now had three text messages complaining that she's getting upset because he's working and now he's got to down tools and take her home. GRRRR! surely it would have been easier to take the day off. She is his responsbility too - I'm not the only one that has to sort out childcare/take time off am I? As he works for himself, surely he could be a little more flexible?!
