When do I tell ds that its "sex on fire" NOT "socks on fire"

He is 8 and loved the song since its release. I have kept up the pretence all this time because I didnt think the lyrics were appropiate. I would prefer him to hear the truth from me and not be laughed at by his peers.We dont have the album or anything so only hears it when on the radio which isnt often in fairness...but I heard him singing with his sister today ( who is 6) and just thought I would ask your views ? Many thanks.

I have no idea, but just have to say thats very sweet and funny
(mine are only toddlers so this is still all to come).

explain. don't have him shown up. but enjoy the socks with him.

I would explain to him, but I'm sure his face will be when you do.

In front of my DS I like to sing it as, "...Your toast is on fire."

My ds is also 8, he sings socks on fire, we have the album but he sings over it. All friends and family join in with 'socks'. I just figured that he'd work it out when he understands what sex is. It is quite cute agreed!

I think when he's about 16 you should enlighten him! Otherwise he'll get laughted at !

Reminds me of my Ds's little friend who used to belt out that famous Right Said Fred number "I'm two six four my shirt, two six four my shirt"
