..to be totally grossed out at the nail salon

I have been wingeing to family and friends about our local nail salon. It is very cheap and is open until 6.30 which is ideal for after work. BUT - I don't like the standard of hygiene. I don't like 'technicians' using their own nails to push the skin away from my nails. Last night, I was the only one left in there so one of the male technicians decided to use the time to SQUEEZE HIS SPOTS in the mirror. He was sitting diagonally opposite me, looking in the mirror and squeezing all his spots - his reflection was right in my sight. He looking up his nose, he squeezed his cheeks, his forehead and his chin. I was dreading someone coming in and then him starting on their nails without washing his hands. I won't be going back there but .

That is not on. The place I go to wear gloves and use little stick things for the cuticles.

If a place does things like that where you can see, it makes me wonder what they do when you can't

It sounds like it is run by teenagers. Would you want them in your bathroom doing that? Find a new place.

Sick! I would have asked the pizza face to stop squeezing his spots. I like intimidating teenagers. Disgusting.

Gross! I wouldn't be going back. And I would probably go somewhere else straight away and get them redone - couldn't bear to have them on the end of my fingers knowing what they are like! Sometimes cheap is just not worth it!

Is anyone else singing 'at the nail bar the nail bar the nail bar' ala Harry Hill in their head?

I am not going to go back, I have crossed the 'icky' bridge now. He has done my nails before and I can't get it out of my head that he might have been touching me with pus-contact fingers.

Their hygiene is revolting. Thinking about it, I have never seen them wash their hands between clients.
