To be pissed off as a mother at celebrity BB

The first I have ever watched as I hate the show but got hooked in to see if Samantha Brick believes what she writes.

Anyway they just voted face to face first time the most spread of votes (for Coleen and Jasmine, Jasmine is up Vs a page 3) gave the reason as "well you have kids so you must want to get home to hubby/kids".

Why? Why is a mother that has time away from her kids in need of going home. Some of the blokes have kids shouldn't they fuck off home too? Little woman at home syndrome is alive and well Angry

Yeah that pissed me off.

They're not allowed to use that as a reason on the normal BB so I don't know why they allowed it on this one.

No-one (as far as I remember) said anything about getting home to their hubbys...but the 'she's missing her kids' was a bollocks reason to nominate.

Yabu to watch that shite. It's brain rot. Bad for you in every sense.

Softlysoftly · 19/08/2012 22:07

Julie Goodyear said "missing your husband" to Colleen, one woman to another, especially one who is on her 4th marriage Hmm

Julie Goodyear said "missing your husband" to Colleen, one woman to another, especially one who is on her 4th marriage

She also said in 16 years shes never been apart from her partner, not one night ever. So put that in perspective about "missing your husband.

ilovesprouts · 19/08/2012 22:14

Ah hadn't heard that I suppose her view would be skewed, but then surely she should volunteer Grin.

The "get ye home to your babies wimmen folk" theme still rules though.

NCfornow yes my brain does feel wobbly, and haven't seen hide nor hair of Ms Brick really so plan failed.

Oh yes I forgot about Julie Goodyear saying that.

I think the show (as usual) has some really dodgy editing because surprisingly enough, most of them have only had good things to say about Brick....but we're just not seeing anything of her Confused

PomBearWithAnOFRS · 19/08/2012 23:24

Perhaps they had said they were missing home/husband/children though - we don't hear every word every one says. They might have been talking about it among themselves. I don't suppose any of the inmates know how much they will miss their home and family until they are actually in the house.

Viperidae · 19/08/2012 23:28

I think Coleen did complain that she had never mentioned her family though so she thought it was spurious too.

CrispyCod · 19/08/2012 23:30

BB makes me feel claustrophobic. The thought of being stuck in a house with a bunch of irritating egos makes me panic for air.

squoosh · 20/08/2012 00:05

I did see a bit of this last night.

Julie Goodyear was waving at a seagull and saying 'hiya love', 'see you soon'. Apparently it was her best friend reincarnated in seagull form as she promised she'd do.

Everyone else said 'oh'. Julie then lit up one of her cigarettes in its fancy holder. All nonchalant Grin

WorraLiberty · 20/08/2012 00:12

I really don't like Julie Goodyear

I didn't like her as Bet Lynch and I didn't like what I read about her being a diva/bit nasty (though obviously that could be all media bullshit)

I'm hoping that seeing her on BB will change my mind as it has done about many other people in the past.

However, nothing she has said or done yet has made her even slightly endearing to me.

squoosh · 20/08/2012 00:13

She should cut her hair, I know it's her trademark and everything but it's bloody awful.

WorraLiberty · 20/08/2012 00:19

Is it real?

Colleen Nolan made me laugh when Julie pointed out that the page 3 model had a 'built in bum' in her dress.

She said, "I feel embarrassed taking my hair out at night. I'd be mortified if I had to take my bum off" Grin

JeezyPeeps · 20/08/2012 06:55

The fact that people are bein nice about Sam Brick surely proves that women don't hate her for her looks....

Which isn't a surprise cos she's really not as pretty as she likes to believe. I think most of the other women in there are (superficially at least) prettier.

Mrsjay · 20/08/2012 09:35

Its lame its something they say when they dont know what else to say on the vote, these women knew they would be away, colleen nolan used to be away from home a few days a week , she did say she wasnt bothered which made me Grin ,
