To think carrying baby in a sling gives me stomach cramps??!!

Has anyone else noticed this or is it coincidence? It seems like every time I carry baby (big baby!!) in sling on the front I end up with major stomach cramps later in the day and stomach upset. I'm wondering if the baby pressing against my stomach (with separated abs) causes a bit of an intestinal blockage. Am I nuts or has anyone else found this???

I didn't find this, but that's not to say it's not the case for you.

Might be seeing you have separated Abs I just got pain in my upper back carrying my huge lump about in a sling. By about 18lb I gave up and pulled out the pushchair.

What sling do you use?

I have badly sep abs - with hernia and this would hurt my stomach - god even pushing the pushchair a long way or lifting ds a lot hurts - when it does I use a belly bandit - holds me in nicely.

look up the exercises or ask gp to refer to physio

ps the exercises are v gentle - you should not be doing situps or heavy lifting (not easy with a dc haha but you can lift dc in a more ergonomical way
