poopnscoop
I think that's true love, if you can go through that together you know he's a keeper.

I had a colleague at work who went on her DH's bosses swanky yacht, proper full on sailing requiring those all in one weatherproof suits, which she borrowed from the bosses wife.
In short she had awful seasickness and filled the suit with diarrhoea. Her DH cleaned up her, the suit and the toilet. Like I say, true love.

BadgersRetreat · 16/08/2012 17:03

poop that really is very funny - for us.

minipie · 16/08/2012 17:03

Awww poop

At least it was a self drive... reading the start of your post I thought there might have been a guide with you, can you imagine how much worse!!

and bless your DH, it's those moments that separate the men from the boys Grin

RikersBeard · 16/08/2012 17:04

Not impossible, but difficult. Only a select few can do it.
They join the pile-high club :o

poopnscoop · 16/08/2012 17:09

hehe oh I am a gold card member of the pile-high club BlushGrin

DH is a keeper, yes... is still about after 11 years... for better or worse, in sickness and health huh? Wink

Sparklingbrook · 16/08/2012 17:13

A friend of mine was all packed up waiting for the coach to take her and her DH back to the airport in Spain. She bent over in the room to pick up the cases and her bowels exploded. Sad

She sat on the loo in hotel Reception til the coach came, then at every hotel where they picked up other holidaymakers she had to dash into the hotel to use the loo.

She spent all of the flight in the plane loo. Sad

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 16/08/2012 17:15

poop, he's one helluva guy.

Driftwood999 · 16/08/2012 18:24

Not impossible, certainly undesirable. To put that into context, I actually fear using the areoplane facilities for a no. 2 due to the "carelessness" of others. I'm sure you get my point. On long haul flights I have a colonic irrigation 1-2 days before the trip and don't actually have the need to "go" until the end of day 3-4.

Brawhen · 16/08/2012 18:35

Driftwood maybe I'm being stupid but I don't get what you're particularly worried about?

Petsinmyolympicpudenda · 16/08/2012 18:36

Id rather shit in a bag at tesco then have a colonic irrigation.

No hose is going up my bum!

Elephantscantdothemoonwalk · 16/08/2012 18:47

Poopnscoop Shock that is awful.

Krumbum · 16/08/2012 18:49

Never flown to new Zealand or Australia then? Not much choice with flights that long.
When I need to go I have to go then! Or I get hideous cramps and would probably poo meself Grin

Elephantscantdothemoonwalk · 16/08/2012 18:49

I spent a 8 hour flight repetadly going to the loo. In there every 10 mins. Was awful.

theinets · 16/08/2012 20:24

From my experience , dumping on a plane doesnt tend to stink the plane out ( if you go in the toilet, that is). The suction when you flush tends to pull the stink down the loo, in my experience of defacating on aircraft. I nearly always go on a flight - something with the change in pressure, some apprehension and coffee / wine - just makes me bloated and ready to go . But i can never remember stinking a cabin out, nor really smelling anything too bad when visiting after a previous occupant of the toilet.

princelypurpleparrot · 16/08/2012 20:38

I don't like doing it but when you gotta go you gotta go. I admit to occasionally putting it off if there's a big queue as I have the thought of people going in after me. I also dread going in there if I'm behind a big burly bloke whose been in there ages, urgh!

On the few flights that we've taken the DS's on I've made DH do the nappy changes Grin

FartyMcTarty · 16/08/2012 20:46

poopnscoop, I'm laughing so hard that my belly button has popped out (29 wks pregnant though, so not so disturbing!)

The best bit was the dear, dear man Grin

bumblebeader · 16/08/2012 21:24

Poop and Spuddy your tales have made me laugh out loud!

I have a poo tale. I used to have real problems with constipation so was well acquainted with laxatives. My then-husband and I were due to fly to Disney World and I was feeling a bit full and not looking forward to flying feeling that way, so took 2 laxatives in the morning. By afternoon nothing happened, so took 2 more. Early evening, nothing still so took another two.

We had an evening flight to Disney. It was only a short flight so we didn't get a meal but we did get peanuts. Husband was allergic to nuts so I had my bag and his bag, plus the flight was fairly empty and the flight attendant asked us if we would like another bag, so I had another two bags. We got to our hotel about 1 am. I was exhausted and fell straight to sleep. I woke a few hours later thinking something smelled. Really, really smelled. Then I rolled over and felt dampness. I just thought, no way, I couldn't have, could I? Rolled the other way. Yep, damp that way too. So I turned on the light to find myself covered in sh*t. I gently woke my husband up and said, "Wake up but don't move!" So he sits up and takes one look and I don't think he would have jumped out of the bed any faster or looked more horrified if he'd found a rattlesnake in the bed!

I had to strip the sheets and rinse them in the bath, as well as get myself cleaned off. I was working on those sheets for an hour. I did my best and managed to get all the peanutty-bits off the sheets but they were definitely ruined. I left them folded up nicely for the maid service so she wouldn't have to touch any disgusting parts but they must have figured something was up because there was a plastic mattress cover on the bed that night!

Driftwood999 · 16/08/2012 21:29

Brawhen - I am unable to comment as to whether you are stupid. My comment was directed to the OP.

McHappyPants2012 · 16/08/2012 21:40

If I need to go I need to go, why people hold it in I don't know

mamij · 16/08/2012 21:41

poop I feel for you. But you're DH sounds like a lovely guy (even if he does hold it over you forever).

Fine with doing it on the plane - I'd never keep it in! Somehow, feel weird doing it in other people's homes. I once had the runs after lunch at a friend's. Too embarrassed to say anything of course, but they must have guessed with me running to the toilet at least three times within 30 minutes! Blush

HecateHarshPants · 17/08/2012 07:11

God yes. He's someone to hang on to!

The Poo Test should be a pre marriage requirement Wink

teacherandguideleader · 17/08/2012 07:33

An ex (note the ex part) of mine was obsessed with poo and wanted me to perform my daily ablutions on him. I won't give details about what he wanted me to do after that.

A few weeks ago I had a tummy bug and had an accident. I was mortified but bf dealt with everything with the response 'well when we have children the place will be covered in shit anyway'. I decided then that he was a keeper ...

poopnscoop · 17/08/2012 10:08

People poo! It's just the way it is. And we cannot always know when we need it...

One thing I don't get is couples who have never, and I mean never wee-wee'd or poo-pooed in front of their partner!? Confused

One friend I have... if he needs the loo (even a wee!) while she's in the bath... she gets out and waits outside on the landing... for however long it takes. They have NEVER seen each other poo or wee. In many years of marriage.

poopnscoop · 17/08/2012 10:09

bumblebeader I do feel for you!!! Your partner's reaction hehe... I doubt the hotel people were shocked... they've seen everything... believe you me! And accidents do happen.

freddiefrog · 17/08/2012 10:39

I think my bowels are shy as I just can't poo anywhere other than in my own loo (or if we're away the hotel room/self catering let). It's not lack of trying, I just can't.

And in 22 years my DH has never seen me poo or wee. He's seen me give birth twice, he's held my hair when I've been sick, but I just could not let him see me on the loo
