Agree about Elton and Macca. George Michael's second song was quite boring.

Elton should have been there, but I would not like to say at whose expense.

i would imagine david bowie was nursing his poorly heart. he doesn't do a lot of performing nowadays.

They did acknowledge David Bowie several times. But it would have been great to see him there.

And, rather than having the music on a loop while the athletes entered they could have played some Adele, Spandex Ballet, Amy Winehouse & more Take That.
