Just seen this-the guy was either texting or similar and the car was hardly keeping in a straight line and his eyes were more down than up. Glad we passed him.

OP, if you are/have a passenger in the car, then photograph his numberplate and report him, or film him.

May as well make the use of your own phone. It's disgusting that people do this.

Is anyone likely to post yabu?

I think texting at high speed and not looking at the road is excellent. i'm all for it. Really? Aibu?

I see it all the time! It's very upsetting that people would risk the lives of themselves and others being so bloody stupid.

Grin pagwatch

Of course non one would think this REASONABLE behaviour; it's psychotic. How many people would this arsehole have to kill to stop doing it?

I watched a woman driving up to a junction from parking last week she had a mob. phone in one hand and a fag in the other ffs Shock I screamed at her she hardly noticed. I do wonder how these people manage to actually live their lives.

MrsKeithRichards · 13/08/2012 08:34

You screamed at her?

ppeatfruit · 13/08/2012 08:37

I was walking by MrsKeithRichards she had her window down she did hear me.

I often see motorists talking on moble phones to their ears, texting whilst driving. One morning whilst walking to work a lady motorists stopped short of the junction she was approaching then over shot the junction and nearly went inot the car going across the unstion, she never saw the other car as she was to busy looking at her phone.

it should be made illegal to text with a charge of attempted murder - a car is a leathal weapon and if people thought they would serve 5 years in prison, lose the jobs and families they may think twice about putting other peoples lives at risk of death or stealing a parent or child from a family.

There is no reason to text or speak on the phone whilst driving.

Here in Texas too - its terrifying.but it would infringe your human rights or something to legislate against it here, apparently ... Confused

What about the human rights of those killed or injured by these selfish people?

booksandchoc · 15/08/2012 07:27

My BIL does this and it boils my blood, along with speeding and not wearing a seat belt. Nothing u say to him makes a difference tho. He is a wank stain.

The trouble is many people do find it reasonable and it is something I witness every time I go out in the car. Only yesterday waiting at a roundabout on a busy dual carriageway I saw a guy in a van talking on his phone as he drove past and it just makes you so fucking angry that you can't do anything about it. There needs to be a sustained tv campaign to stamp this irresponsible behaviour out. I also think that if you have caused an accident you should be made to hand over your phone so it can be checked that you whether you were talking or texting.
