Looking at this thru foreign eyes... Americans are going to like the closing ceremony better than the opening (on average, if they were asked). It's naive & culturally blinkered, but all this ultra-British stuff just passes a lot of foreigners by. They want fireworks & BLING. Even badly sung bling.

The Rio opening ceremony will be a blast, Namechange - they know how to party and they're not cursed with the embalmed corpse that is Paul McCartney.
