To think, after all this years of trying, I may well be pregnant?

So I just went to the toilet.

And - TMI! - there were a few drops of brownish mucusy blood when I wiped.

It's far too early to be my period. I had a scan saying that I would ovulate at last weekend weekend, another one on Wednesday that showed the shrink, and the corpus luteum collapse on Friday.

Could this be implantation bleeding, at about 7dpo, or AIBU Wink

Jodie, you actually made me cry! Thank you so much, what a darling you are. I am already so upset because of my partner's recent appalling behaviour and this bleeding issue was just tipping me over the edge.

I have never, ever, when I have ovulated that is, had a luteal phase of shorter than 14 days - or any spotting before. So I'm hoping this is a good sign.

Thank you Pink and everyone else who has sent kind wishes :)

Sometimes, you know, it just helps knowing that other people are in the same boat. Here, have one of these: x

More crossed fingers!

I had brownish mucus and some blood (enough to think my period had come early) with DD2 ... also a BFP then a BFN then a BFP within 24 hours of each other ...

She is now 3 years` old and just amazing. She is happily playing with her big sister...

Actually, come to think of it, they have been quiet for 10 minutes now, I had better go and see what damage they are causing ...

Sending you much love and luck xxx

Pobbage · 14/08/2012 09:51

Very very good luck.

I was ttc for 10 years and then got pregnant with DD (now 2) after ivf. I definitely bled around 10 days post embryo transfer, cried for four days and then did the test to rule things out and got a surprise. I had loads of symptoms that time, but had ignored them thinking they were pre-menstrual. I carried on bleeding on and off until around 10 weeks. Terrifying, but had a perfectly healthy baby, so if it continues, it doesnt mean anything.

I am now pregnant again after more ivf and bled three days before I was due to test. I had absolutely no symptoms so I tested anyway three days early just to confirm that I wasn't pregnant and got a bfp again. Again I bled until about 10 weeks on and off (mostly on). So stressful, but I am now 27 weeks, so hopefully things will carry on going well.

I will be very impressed if you can hold out until next monday, but will check back and really hope you get your bfp.

BionicEmu · 14/08/2012 10:24

I'm crossing all my fingers and toes for you!

It took us nearly 3 years to conceive DC1. I know that's not as long as some people, but it was long enough! Especially as I was in my early 20s and DH was in his late 20s, so we should have been the optimum age.

With DC1 I had no symptoms except sore boobs, but I get those every month anyway. Eventually at 37 days since the period before I decided to poas, figuring that having confirmation of the bfn would start my period off (as it always seemed to do), and my boobs were that sore I just wanted the damn period to start. So I poas and got my bfp!

Am now 16 weeks with DC2. We were prepared for more years of ttc, but fell pregnant the first month of trying! This time I had implantation bleeding, along with feeling bone-crushingly tired at the same time. I was sat at work at about 11am, and was struggling to stay awake. Went to the loo and there was brown spotting from implantation. Even though I struggled to believe I could be pregnant so soon, I was so sure and poas was just a formality :)

Sorry for the essay, I'm excited for you!

Good luck!

Pobbage · 14/08/2012 10:25

Just went to the loo and there was a lot more blood although none in on the pad :(

What is going on here? I am now losing hope...

BionicEmu · 14/08/2012 10:34

I guess a little bit of blood can look like a lot when it's mixed with mucus etc. Is it red or brown? If it's not on the pad, just when you wipe then I guess it's not that much?

Sorry I'm no help, I fear there's absolutely nothing you can do until you poas on Monday though.

Still crossing fingers for you!

Noqontrol · 14/08/2012 10:36

Hope it works out for you op. i had some implantation bleeding, although it seemed different to a normal period. Hopefully its that.
Fingers crossed for you.

Can't be the sex raspberry.

It is going a bit on the pad now but only really seems to come out when on the toilet...I really don't get it!

shesariver · 14/08/2012 10:44

keeping everything crossed for you pobb, do you think you could test to see what it says? Sorry I have never bled heavily in my last 2 pregnancies but I did in my first - and hes 19 now!

Cant you get one of those early tests? Or is it just too early?

MsLydia · 14/08/2012 10:52

I got exactly what you describe three times in my life and three times I've been pregnant with babies that stuck. X

Lambzig · 14/08/2012 11:02

Yes that describes what happened with both my pregnancies. Sometimes on the pad too and sometimes a scary bright red. I was still pregnant.

It is indeed your body screwing with you. Horrible horrible, but all you can do is hang on a test as early as you dare. Testing a couple of days early but with first morning urine, will usually give you a result.

Dont give up and still keeping my fingers crossed for you.

anoli22 · 14/08/2012 11:05

I'm in the same boat as we speak cd23 it started (I have irregular periods that average 33days but is rarely under 28days). Been trying for ages, my only problem is that my browny discharge is on to the 4th day, so perhaps is unlikely.I wish you all the luck in the world! I hope we both get our bfp's one day soon!

BellaVita · 14/08/2012 11:11

I had this with DS1 who is now 15!!

I then had two huge bleeds two weeks apart (second one I felt unwell in the night, got up for the toilet and it all came gushing out), scared the life out of us.

Fingers crossed for you x

JodieHarsh · 14/08/2012 11:37

OH GOD. This is all so stressful and, as Raspberry says, your body is indeed fucking with you.

And your body is now fucking with my head, since the same things are happening to me - it happens every month and I'm never pregnant but now you've all set me wondering Grin

Do you know exactly how many DPO you are, OP?
