To think, after all this years of trying, I may well be pregnant?

So I just went to the toilet.

And - TMI! - there were a few drops of brownish mucusy blood when I wiped.

It's far too early to be my period. I had a scan saying that I would ovulate at last weekend weekend, another one on Wednesday that showed the shrink, and the corpus luteum collapse on Friday.

Could this be implantation bleeding, at about 7dpo, or AIBU Wink

Yes Pobage! I had it! Just a drop or two of thick brown mucous around the time you describe. It only lasted half a day, not even that and like you I didn't dare think that I could be pregnant (I was trying for 5 years and it was the 6th ivf, the first one with donnor eggs).

Well... the rest is history...my daughter is nearly 5 now and every day I thank God for this miracle.

See it as a positive sign but don't get too excited about it. Just get through the days until test day (I know it's hard).

I'm praying you get your miracle baby

Hugs and kisses xxxxx

Pobbage · 12/08/2012 22:35

Maraki, you have just made my day!

Congratulations on your miracle dd!

Thank you for your prayers, it's not easy at all going through this is it?

I tested + with my last 3 pregnancies at 8dpo..

Not that I'm suggesting you poas tomorrow. Oh no.

Pobbage · 12/08/2012 22:37

Methe, I don't dare poas yet in case I get a bfn!

Did you get the blood and mucus and all that jazz?

Trazzletoes · 12/08/2012 22:37

None of this terminology makes any sense to me whatsoever, but nevertheless my fingers are tightly crossed for you!

Spammertime · 12/08/2012 22:38

Been there. Really really hope it works out for you - good luck!

FartyMcTarty · 12/08/2012 22:38

Torturous wait! Good luck - it happened to me (but I didn't test +ive until about cd 34).

Pobbage · 12/08/2012 22:39

Trazzletoes, bfp = big fat positive
bfn = negative
poas = pee on a stick

All these acronyms are well known by us members of the club no one wants to be part of (the can't get pregnant easily club) but I forget how not everyone knows them - I was even discussing a "bfp" with my mother earlier!

Kaloobear · 12/08/2012 22:40

YANBU and will keep my fingers crossed for you Grin

Pobbage · 12/08/2012 22:40

So pleased that others think this could be a possibility and it's not just wishful thinking!

OP posts:
Maraki · 12/08/2012 22:41

No it's not but you find the strength and go through it because there is nothing else you can do (apart from going mad).
Dont test early, I got a very faint line when period was due (you had to hold test in strong sunlight to see) and only got a thick strong line 2 days later. (I've still got the tests)
Just do keep super busy, go out, etc to take your mind off things.

Pumpster · 12/08/2012 22:42

Good luck x

Trazzletoes · 12/08/2012 23:17

Thanks! In which case, fingers tightly crossed for a bfp for you!

Sunnydelight · 12/08/2012 23:25

Oh, fingers crossed for you. Keep us posted! X

wishiwasonholiday · 12/08/2012 23:27

Good luck!

Pobbage · 14/08/2012 06:55

More spotting yesterday but none overnight. Seems to be back when I wiped this morning though.

Please tell me someone else has had this and got a BFP that stuck!

ujjayi · 14/08/2012 06:59

Has happened to me and friends.

Hang on in there! Really and truly hope this is it for you.

MonsPubis · 14/08/2012 07:01

Right now listen here!!!

I had brownish smears on and off the whole way though one of my pg
Then I had one pg red smears every month for 3 months
Then I had a pg with full blown bleeds from 23 weeks til 36 when ds was born.

So, keep calm and carry on. Smile

Sirzy · 14/08/2012 07:01

Fingers crossed for you x

MonsPubis · 14/08/2012 07:02

What I meant to say was that all 3 pg's produced healthy babies despite worrying myself half to death!!

Pobbage · 14/08/2012 07:09

Mons, thank you, thank you! :) Love the name btw!

OP posts:
Northey · 14/08/2012 07:09

I had exactly that - a day with a hint of peachy tinting, then two days with a bit of brown gloop. And 7 days later a positive test.

This was also after years of trying and infertility treatment, so I get the disbelieving caution :)

MonsPubis · 14/08/2012 07:12

you are welcome. As for the name, it was done as a joke because an mner was doing a thread talking about her Mons Pubis and we were all falling about laughing at her correct terminology, which is rare on here! So, I did it for a laugh and can't be arsed to change back!

Keep us informed on how you get along. Fingers crossed. How long have you been trying btw. Took nearly 2 years with my first, a year with second, and third just happened.

Pastabee · 14/08/2012 07:13

I had this. Just tiny amounts that were only noticeable on a tissue and not for very long.

I had the opposite experience of OPs saying they had sore boobs etc straight away. I knew I was pregnant because I didn't get any premenstural symptoms so don't worry if that happens too.

Good luck. Keeping fingers crossed for you.

ZonkedOut · 14/08/2012 07:20

I never knew I was pregnant until I was late, so don't worry if you don't get any symptoms.

But try not to get over excited too, unless/until you get that BFP, but good luck!
