I mean, isn't this what we have them for?

If they can't be arsed to turn up for this, when the eyes of the world are n London, what is their purpose?

I wondered where they are too, but in a more concerned fashion...

And why Harry looks quite so shifty..

JackJacksmummy · 12/08/2012 21:10

Why is "Henry" representing the queen?? I know he is old enough for royal duties and whatnot but where is she?

JackJacksmummy · 12/08/2012 21:11

He does look really stressed!

JeezyPeeps · 12/08/2012 21:11

Harry looks shellshocked. I wonder if everything is ok.

ILiveInAPineapple · 12/08/2012 21:12

I thought he looked a bit stressed too! Maybe they've had a family argument and had to send someone while they argue about who's having the corgis in their bed tonight?

fivegomadindorset · 12/08/2012 21:13

I am presuming because it is the youth games that that is why the younger generation are representing them.

Nanny0gg · 12/08/2012 21:14

Are they all up at Balmoral for the Highland Games?

DoesBuggerAll · 12/08/2012 21:16

Perhaps a terrorist plot has been discovered / foiled at the last minute and so the Queen plus any other senior royals have been kept safe somewhere and only poor Harry has been sent as he's more expendable.

Surprised he's looking so stressed though. After all he's been battle-hardened so I'd have thought he would be calmer under pressure.

Nannyto2 · 12/08/2012 21:19

Maybe Prince Philip isn't behaving and wasn't allowed out!!! Grin

Bobyan · 12/08/2012 21:21

Maybe they're worried Paul McCartney might sing again...

JackJacksmummy · 12/08/2012 21:23

Maybe they are holding macca hostage at balmoral so he can't sing there!

Bobyan · 12/08/2012 21:23

God save the Queen!

ShellyBoobs · 12/08/2012 21:24

I thought it unusual, too, that only Henry [sic] is there.

If it's planned, though, I suppose there are reasons...

Nannyto2 · 12/08/2012 21:24

Kate is there too

WhatEverItIsIDidntDoIt · 12/08/2012 21:25

Give them a bloody break, I bet when your in your 80's you won't be too keen on sitting for 3 hours in the cold in a deafeningly noisy arena!

uselfullife · 12/08/2012 21:25

Well, William had to go to his day job

Sparks1 · 12/08/2012 21:25

*I mean, isn't this what we have them for?

Yeah. Cos she doesn't do a lot of engagements during a year does she....

TessTosterone · 12/08/2012 21:26

I have it on good authority that the queen won't go out when 'a touch of frost' is on. She's a huge fan.

Figgygal · 12/08/2012 21:26

The queen is 80 and prince Phillip is 92 they did a brill job at the jubilee and then the opening ceremony of they want to stay at home and send someone else to represent them then fair fucks to them I say

alphabite · 12/08/2012 21:29

''The queen is 80''
She's 86 isn't she?

If it doesn't finish until 11.30pm and she's had a really busy summer I don't blame her for not being there.

Bobyan · 12/08/2012 21:30

What about Charlie? He's got no excuse.

Nannyto2 · 12/08/2012 21:30

The queen started her holiday at Balmoral today, William is working

alphabite · 12/08/2012 21:31

Why should he have to have an excuse though? I couldn't care less if he's there. It's not about the royal family. It's about the athletes.

Hulababy · 12/08/2012 21:31

This ones more of a younger persons role isn't it?
