Dog piss outside my door! AGAIN!!!

I had a thread here a few weeks ago.

I have since complained to the landlord (HA) who has written a warning letter.

They got this letter early last week and the have been two more piss puddles in the hallway. One today outside my door, against my door by the looks of it. My ds stepped in it. I had to clear it up AGAIN!!!

I have just seen the fuckers come into the building, glance down to the floor and laugh I have a peephole in my door, they have to pass my door to go upstairs .

Problem is, when it happened last week, I phone the landlord up and said that despite their warning letter it had happened again. He said he/i have to 'give them a chance to rectify their ways' . He can't do anything else before teh 20th of this month.

WTF?!?

He also said that they didn't have permission to have the dog in the first place.

So what the hell am I supposed to do in the meantime? I am sick to death of cleaning up another persons dog piss! I can hardly leave it if its outside my door can I?

Ds very nearly slipped. :(

AIBU to expect the landlord to do something NOW??

Wash area with Jeyes fluid or dettol and the smell should put off the dog (I think dog is marking his territory - perhaps a post on the doggy thread will give more help).

I have beached. More bleach than water, I nearly knocked myself out.

Thing is, I don't want to spend a fortune on cleaning products when I shouldn't be cleaning it in the first place.

I have tried some sort of pet repellent (neighbour bought it) , dis infectant and bleach.

I think they are just doing it on purpose now. Dirty fuckers! Angry

Ok it is gross and smelly, but perspective is required, urine is sterile!

Rinse the area in diluted bio washing powder/liquid, this will break down the enzymes in the wee, get rid of the smell and stop the dog 'marking'.

Perhaps you could bring up the Health and Safety issue with the Landlord. He has been warned about the dog pee so could well be liable if there is now an accident with injury.

SoleSource · 12/08/2012 19:57

Do you have a dog?

BonkeyHasGOLDMollocks · 12/08/2012 20:02

No I don't have a dog.

Im going to have to buy some bio powder aren't I?

Mind you. I doubt it will make ant difference. [fed up]

Sprinkle black pepper over the whole area once it's dry, the dog will sneeze and walk past unless they have taught it to pee on command.

Clean with a vinegar solution to neautralise the smell.
Dont use anything with ammonia

There's bitter apple sprays around that are supposed to deter dogs but think thats more for chewing.

I'd take pictures to show the landlord how bad it is

Catmint · 12/08/2012 21:30

Dog warden told me that tonic water get s rid of the smell to dogs as well as pple, so less marking behaviour.

floranora · 12/08/2012 23:14

i would squirt something, just water or something near their door. see how they like it! although if it was me i'd be tempted to have a wee there myself!
