To want to be pregnant again so I can choose a new baby name

I keep looking at the Baby Names thread and it's making me want another so that I can legitimately get excited about baby names again. DS is 11 months old and I'm not convinced that we need such a small gap (and that I can cope with another so soon). However I'm already picking out more names for boys and girls. This is a ridiculous reason to want another baby, isn't it?

It doesn't help that three close friends are pregnant again.

One of my friends says I've got lots of kids because I'm so indecisive and wanted to use all my favourite names.

curiousgeorgie · 10/08/2012 23:26

Maybe you're looking in baby names because subconsciously you want another baby... Not wanting another baby just because you're looking in baby names Wink

AgentZigzag · 10/08/2012 23:26

It's a good a reason as any Grin

Can you tell us any of the names?

CruCru · 10/08/2012 23:26

I don't want any pets, thank you for the suggestion though.

Well, I really like Claudia, Cecilia, Elizabeth, Agnes, Rosalind for girls. For boys, I really like Alexander, Charles, Hugh, Johannes. There are lots of other names I like but we were quite late in our "circle" to have a DC so were used by people close enough that I would think it strange to use them as well. Perhaps you're right, I do want another baby.

Not even an ant farm?

You could use up quite a few names with one of those.

BertieBotts · 10/08/2012 23:33

Write a novel! Great way to use up names.

CruCru · 10/08/2012 23:34

I feel itchy just thinking about ants. So no. But thank you anyway.

Name your shoes?

I keep thinking of baby names even thogh dd is only 7.5mo and we wont be ttc for another 3/4 years.

WorraLiberty · 10/08/2012 23:36

Lol at 'name your shoes'!!!

Sorry but I wouldn't even name a pair of crocs Agnes Blush

The other names are nice though.

CruCru · 10/08/2012 23:37

If I named my shoes it would make me sad to chuck them out. I would have a house full of broken heels and nowhere to put anything.

Me too, I've had to ban myself from looking at babynames. I have a whole family planned out - just need an extra ten years and a partner.

CruCru · 10/08/2012 23:41

I also like Francis and Oscar for boys. And Ingrid and Hannah for girls. Do you really not like Agnes Worra? Neither does my DH, it's such a pity.

Can you give women's shoes boys names?

YABVU.

GnocchiNineDoors · 10/08/2012 23:44

You chuck your shoes out? Shock at the thought.

Maybe name al of dcs cuddly toys?

CruCru · 10/08/2012 23:45

I do when they break Gnocchi. And can't be fixed by the cobblers.

CruCru · 10/08/2012 23:53

Why am I being unreasonable, Kilmuir? I am sure I am but need it explained to me.

OP posts:
WorraLiberty · 10/08/2012 23:56

No there's nothing to like about Agnes...not in the past, not now and not ever!

Perhaps I'm an Agnephobe? Grin

kilmuir · 10/08/2012 23:58

now you know you are being silly. you can't create a life just because you want to chose a baby name. get a doll or make up a kinky name for your other half.

CruCru · 10/08/2012 23:59

Perhaps. It could be shortened to Aggie. Do you like that better?

OP posts:
CruCru · 11/08/2012 00:00

Well I do see your point Kilmuir.

I don't ever want more children. I do, however, want to be 5/6 months pregnant, name a child, and have that first 2 weeks with a tiny scrunched up little baby. Any way I can have both? Fake pregnancy bump maybe?
