I'm white British and have never been there.

Dp's parents are Jamaican, he has lots of family there, and the child I'm 6 months pg with is half-Jamaican.

I'm very proud of the athletics success of my dp and in laws' country, so...

AIBU to nick one of dp's footie shirts today?

DH is jamaican, 3 DCs half jamaican so no, YANBU.

HandMadeTail · 10/08/2012 08:50

No, go for it.

I am Australian, but very proud of how well my adopted country (UK) is doing!

PurplePidjin · 10/08/2012 08:50

Go for it! I'm pregnant with a half Brit half Swede, I would fully support Sweden if they ever won anything if I had the oppertunity.

peggyblackett · 10/08/2012 09:27

Go for it :)

fruitysummer · 10/08/2012 09:30

Wear it.

You don't need any reason to do so.

I've no connetions at all unless you can count 2 holidays there and I'd happily wear one. I thought they were fantastic.

One of my fave films of all time is Cool Runnings - I'm hoping Usain will turn to Bob Sledding Grin

PurplePidjin · 10/08/2012 09:33

This is DP. Apparently

Willabywallaby · 10/08/2012 09:49

maristella · 10/08/2012 09:58

Yanbu wear it with pride!

Jamaica is the best, so beautiful with amazing people, and a habit of making and celebrating legends :)

If I could be anywhere right now, I'd be in Jamaica

sashh · 10/08/2012 10:51

Wear it. I've worn a sari a few times.

SoleSource · 10/08/2012 11:48

Wear it. My DS is Jamaican heritage you 've givenme an idea. I think a dual heritage t shirt is in order.

FelicitywasSarca · 10/08/2012 11:50

Where it! And do you mean DP looks like Sanka or acts like him?

You've eaither got my admiration or pity!

TeamGlaikitBritain · 10/08/2012 11:56

Ds has his Jamaica shirt on today brought home from a friends holidays and we have no connection with the island at all! What they have achieved is amazing, celebrate it!

Irei mon!

mumeuro · 10/08/2012 11:57

Not at all - go for it with pride!

WorraLiberty · 10/08/2012 12:01

Wear what you want!

At least you have a family connection

Look at how many people walk around with American stars and stripes on their clothes just because it's fashionable.

lighthousekeeping · 10/08/2012 12:04

Oh yes wear it!!

i cant believe I missed the action last night.

What have we got on today?

PurplePidjin · 10/08/2012 13:44

Maristella, if my ILs are anything to go by i can't wait to visit!

Sashh, I'd love an excuse to float round in a gorgeous sari Envy

Felicity, looks! Well, a cross between that dude and Edgar Davids :o

FelicitywasSarca · 10/08/2012 14:37

PurplePidjin · 10/08/2012 15:03

Write it out 20 times in the back of your book, young lady

YA most definately NBU - Wear it with pride, you have strong links to Jamaica.

We had England and Spanish flags out during the Euros and DS wore his Spain shirt when we went to watch them play football in the Olympics - our only connection to Spain is that we have a holiday home there! Your connection to Jamaica is family.

They were fantastic last night don't suspect anyone slept in Jamaica last night
:-))
