When I smell fish and chips?

Most other greasy things I seem to be marginly okay with and after all in v early stages of pregnancy but there is something about fish and chips when going past the chip shop that makes me retch all the time at the moment.

That's my aibu...

what is yours? then the person below can answer with what they think :) fun game! :d then post their own aibu and continue it on and so on and so forth.

Thought for one crazy minute you wanted to honk up a ring you'd somehow swallowed!

vodkaanddietirnbru · 07/08/2012 21:42

is it not 'spew your ring' - I'm not pregnant but hate the smell going past the fish counter in the supermarket

squeakytoy · 07/08/2012 21:42

The sight of rice pudding/sago/tapioca makes me want to hurl, and I am not pregnant. A dollop of jam on the top just makes it even worse.

squeakytoy · 07/08/2012 21:43

My mum always told me, if you can smell the fish counter, dont go to it, as something on there is off.

I have lived by that rule all my life!

WorraLiberty · 07/08/2012 21:44

Stale garlic/curry/spices when they're sweated through the pores of the skin the next day.

FoofHundredMetreFreestyle · 07/08/2012 21:48

Coming downstairs first thing in the morning to the smell of a cooked breakfast. Bleurgh.

fish smells and tastes rank......

I hate fish (well not the actual fish)

TiggerWearsATriteSmile · 07/08/2012 21:55

Perfume.
Chemically, fake, waffty, stink.

All of it.
Rank.

LordOfThe5Rings · 07/08/2012 21:57

Crispy Ha, sorry I always forget when I am using an Irish saying. I am Irish but lived most of my life in England, but grew up with all the sayings. It means wanting to chuck up/throw up etc. :o at swallowing a ring!

In my 2nd pregnancy the smell of anything foody was enough to set me off.
Most embarrassingly, I was caught short in Markies once as the smell of the fresh bread hit me and caused me to spontaneously vomit.
They sat me down in the cafe and gave me a cup of tea.

Queenmarigold · 07/08/2012 22:03

Bio Oil. Guaranteed to make me chuck up everything. Disgusting.
And I agree with perfume, - it all STINKS, cheap nasty chemical rubbish.
Coffee too.
And people Grin
Is this what it's like to be a dog I wonder ....

squeakytoy · 07/08/2012 22:05

Dunno.. my dog loves the smell and taste of chilli and garlic... Grin

Mr muscle window/glass cleaner makes my stomach churn. (not pregnant) always has done. I buy a lovely fruity fragranced window/glass cleaner instead but it is very hard to find!
Vinegar also makes me want to vom. It smells like stinky feet. How anyone can put it on food is beyond me!

Ample · 07/08/2012 22:22

Meat, the raw and the cooked.
Candy floss/burnt sugar.

Keepthechange Grin just the other day my dd proclaimed, Mummy my feet smell of vinegar!

Ample · 07/08/2012 22:23

But I love the smell of oranges, coffee, and fried onions
