I have never been so irritated by someone on the telly. Saw it for first time in ages today and she is so bloody patronising. Is it just me who doesn't see the appeal. DS age four and I 'disagreed' on her talent but I really feel she is talking down to him and the other children. I know I clearly need to get a life but keen to know am not the only one who wants to tell her and her fruity dance to eff off

Holy crap! That's so strange as I used to say she had a dark side that one and hated DS watching wobbly wibbly house or whatever it was called . I think it was her built up shoes that alerted me

CherylTrole · 23/05/2013 16:28

Strange double zombie thread [confused}

CherylTrole · 23/05/2013 16:28

Decoy · 23/05/2013 18:12

I like her. Obviously the style would seem patronising to an adult but I think she presents well for children.

Senorita89 · 12/06/2013 07:22

Oh I am so glad I am not the only one who feels she needs a slap.. I cannot stand her annoying patronising and false ways.. I would also love to kick professor poet from rhyme rocket in his teeth he is sooooo damn annoying :)

Senorita89 · 12/06/2013 07:25

I also find Justin v annoying and weird I want to throw a brick at my tv every time I hear "mr tummmmble" aarrggghh

Whatalotofpiffle · 12/06/2013 07:32

Ha ha I quite like her and her new baby bump! Love the book too..

Love a good tv personality hate thread Smile

CouthyMow · 12/06/2013 07:43

Only read the title, but YANBU. She makes me irrationally want to throw things at the TV screen.

2yo DS3 agrees with me. Every time she starts talking, he starts shouting "NO NO NO NO NO" at the TV, and wagging his finger at her repeatedly until I turn the TV over or off...

She is just so effing patronising. She reminds me of the presenters on Playdays (from around 20-25 years ago) that I had to suffer with my Dbro!

CouthyMow · 12/06/2013 07:53

Sarah Jayne...

Me and my Ex had a running Joke about Justin doing Sarah Jayne as soon as the cameras stopped rolling. The only way to be that perpetually fucking cheerful is to be at it like a rabbit.

Maybe she left Cbeebies when Justin stopped rogering her? WinkGrin

And as for her with her bunches...

But yes, that Nissha from Same Smile makes me want to do unspeakable things with a panda!

I thought I was past the Cbeebies stage, but then had DS3 when DS2 was 7yo. Bad move.

I have now been forced to view Cbeebies in all it's forms since the Tweenies hit it big in 1999. And probably have a few years left to go yet...

Urgh. 14 years of sodding Cbeebies...

She does my head in.

I am sure my husband has a crush on her though.

Lovelygoldboots · 12/06/2013 11:03

She will be on mat leave soon and join us here. She can go back on cbeebies swearing her head off and cooking with Billy bear ham and pom bears Grin

PeppermintCreamsSaga · 12/06/2013 11:33

I love Katy. I remember reading one of her tweets about staying in a youth hostel in Europe while travelling, and praying it was the same one me and OH were staying in. Blush

Bit of a latecomer to this particular thread but for some reason, kids have chosen cBeebies over Cartoonito today. I am amazed - but pleased - to find that I'm not the only mum that has such varied and hilarious views on these programmes and their em, presenters. Confused

Rhyme Rockets - why?!? I mean, seriously, WHY?! I can't explain the rage I feel when that programme comes on. I hate them with a passion yet I can't not watch.

I'm almost glad my kids started choosing Cartoonito over cBeebies but on that note, has anyone noticed how fucking annoying those bratty kids from Cartoonito Karaoke are?

whitepuddingsupper · 06/06/2014 14:18

Yes I hate the bloody cartoonito karaoke and those bloody fairy tales, fuck off Jane Horrocks your voiceover skills are shite.

attheendoftheday · 06/06/2014 16:10

I used to hate Katie until I met her in reality. She was absolutely lovely and took loads of time talking to my dds.

LoblollyBoy · 06/06/2014 16:21

Can I just say, attheendof before someone shouts at us for resurrecting this thread, that I did find your comment to be a very helpful contribution. Thanks for that, it will help me next time I have to watch ICC.

CommanderShepard · 06/06/2014 17:28

My husband is in love with Nina and her scary eye shadow. He would like to do inappropriate things with her and her neurons...

PumpkinPie2013 · 06/06/2014 19:08

YANBU - she sets my teeth on edge Angry

Topsy and Tim also really grate on me!

Unfortunately my 3 year old nephew loves them (and Mr Tumble!).

RosiePosiePing · 06/06/2014 19:19

I know this is an old thread but I want to defend Katy.

She opened a soft play near us and was literally mobbed. I mean soft play, 100s of kids and she'd not long had her baby. If any woman had an excuse to be a grumpy cow, she did.

But she was SO fantastic with all of the children there. Smilely, chatty, had pics taken.

Leave her alone!
