do women having periods make them less capable

OP posts:
Lucyellensmum99 · 06/08/2012 22:38

Oh dear - well all i can say is that my boss used to know i was going to get my period before i did because i would get all forgetful and airheady Grin He would call it right every time. Looking back im a bit Hmm and Shock about that from a male boss but we had a close and open working relationship. One time he asked me to get him something for something he was working on, it wasn't crucial but it was something he needed there and then - i went and made him a cup of tea Hmm But thats just me! your son is BU!

Yes because willy waving men are much better Hmm

Do you have severe pmt op? [winl]

AllYoursBabooshka · 06/08/2012 22:39

He thinks there is a "button"?

Awk, God love him.

Chubfuddler · 06/08/2012 22:39

Women are not some special interest group of which one needs to be educated to be "accepting". If you've brought him up to think they are that may explain your problem.

zipzap · 06/08/2012 22:40

Worrying - what on earth gave him that idea?

And also worrying because it's a very convenient way to dismiss half the population without any sense of comeback.

But definitely worth some further discussion and making him think, change his views and embarrassing him at the same time...
such as - what about post-menopausal women - as they are obviously not having periods - or is it just the fact that they have ever had a period in their life?

and - maybe obviously - men should never be in a position of power because they:

... don't have periods
... they have proved over and over they are capable of ruining the country
... they think with their penis
... they launch into things without ever stopping to think and explore the best way to do things, they always think they know best
... they never read the manual
... and so on - the list must be endless!

HighJumpingHissy · 06/08/2012 22:40

I'm astonished that a woman can have a son who grows up to think that shit.

My ds more than 10 yrs younger knows that women can do anything and everything a man can do...

AND VICE VERSA!

I suggest you get him to understand what being totally self sufficient is all about.

FeakAndWeeble · 06/08/2012 22:40

I love a nice willy waving man

ChickensArentEligableForGold · 06/08/2012 22:40

I get horrendous PMT. It makes me stalk AIBU like a slathering beast begging for a bunfight However, I don't think my hormone induced rage would lead to me actually killing people with nuclear weapons. Seems a tad extreme.

RubyFakeNails · 06/08/2012 22:41

Have you not heard this before. It's a really common joke, there was an entire 30 Rock episode about this I probably hear this every couple of months.

He's just being provocative. He doesn't actually think that despite what he says.

AllYoursBabooshka · 06/08/2012 22:42

Men get erections you know... Without realising.

What if they accidently cock poke "The Button".

Kabooom!

zipzap · 06/08/2012 22:42

Does he have some other friends that he is trying to impress or that have been impressing him with their 'men are best' views?

FeakAndWeeble · 06/08/2012 22:42

Ruby, do the same men tell the same joke every couple of months, or do you just meet loads of wankers?

FeakAndWeeble · 06/08/2012 22:43

Babs Grin

Actual tears at 'cock poking The Button'

yellowraincoat · 06/08/2012 22:44

How do you know Ruby ? Have you met him?

FeakAndWeeble · 06/08/2012 22:45

OP, I think you should show your DS this thread.

We need to all try very hard now to educate the OPs son.

OPs DH, you have much to learn my friend.

FeakAndWeeble · 06/08/2012 22:45

woops, DS even

toofattorun · 06/08/2012 22:47

I AM ON MY PERIOD AND I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE FUCK HE IS ON ABOUT?!?!???
I HAVEN'T GOT PMT! IT'S ALL THE SHITS AROUND ME THAT ARE DOING EVERYTHING WRONG AND PURPOSELY RILING ME UP TRYING TO UPSET ME. IT'S WORKING TOO. I HAVE JUST PUT MY BEDSIDE LAMP THROUGH THE TV BECAUSE THE NEWSREADER WAS LOOKING AT ME IN A PATRONISING WAY AND I'VE CUT THE ARMS OFF MY HUSBANDS SHIRTS BECAUSE HE ASKED ME A STUPID QUESTION. I AM FFIIIINNNEE!!!! Aaaarrrrggghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

Greythorne · 06/08/2012 22:47

I think you have failed as a parent if your son truly believes this.

lovebunny · 06/08/2012 22:49

my mother was of the same opinion. probably still is.

Greythorne · 06/08/2012 22:49

Women generally are so renowned for being 'trigger hsppy'....unlike men who are responsible for hardly any gun crime.
