To hate sharing a bed with DH

Whose idea was it for couples to share a bed???

I'm so fed up being too warm, shoved over to one corner, having DH open mouth breathing in my face, his side of the bed being a bit whiffy, being groped at 2 am because he's having a sexy dream.
Gawd I'm just bloody sick of it I had a double bed to myself before we moved in together and I miss it! I can't sleep all cuddled up I just can't!

I'd even go for a single, anyone else feel like this?

Tangointhenight are you me? that's my nickname too and I sound the same!! I'm totally happy with my ice queen status, he's not..

My parents have separate rooms I think it's pretty normal to be honest, I guess I grew up with it, but DH will hear nothing of it - it's even a "Oh well it will be separate rooms if you had your way" comments.

YANBU. I got DH to deal with the snoring by sending him to a sleep lab, which diagnosed apnoea so he now uses a CPAP machine and we have a king sized bed, but still... Biggest bugbear for me is that we have completely different body temperatures, he's constantly freezing, I was used to sleeping with the windows open and the heatting off regardless of the weather. So even though I sleep without covers I'm constantly boiling now. And now I'm 36wks pregnant...

YANBU

At the moment I'm quite happy living separately to my partner, but if we ever do decide it makes sense to live together at some point there will be separate bedrooms. I love sleeping together for a few nights, but more than that I start to feel really tired & like I've not slept properly or have slept in an uncomfortable position. Also, I like having a space that is exclusively mine, that I can invite him or my dd (and any future children) to share with me when I want to but that is arranged how I want it to be and doesn't have to be arranged according anyone else's needs.

Big bed. Only way to be happy. DH and I have a superking and it's still not quite big enough for me. I have my eye on one of these - 8foot wide, imagine! Of course you're then tied in to buying bedlinen and duvets from them, because most places only do standard sizing.

DH and I stayed in a lovely hotel in Portugal a few years ago, and the bed was huge. Best week's sleep we've ever had together!

Superking bed. Do it.

We can't stay in b&b's now as we're so used to the space - sleeping in a 'double' is farcical.

Worst of all is the shared sofa bed at SILs at xmas but it's only for one night of the year :)

An old friend of my gran's said to my mum on her wedding day 'be sure to get a bed big enough for you both to be ill in at once'.
