So,I was in the kitchen making breakfast for DD (5) who was at our bedroom (and she was going to have breakfast there as woke up with conjuntivities) when Dh came from behind touching my bum and suggesting a quickly one. I told him he was too late because the night before I suggested we had a shower together once dd was asleep, he couldn't stop watching whatever on his Ipad so I had my shower alone and went to the sitting room to watch TV, he had his shower hours later, I thought he would come but went to sleep instead... So back to this morning, I told him no way because DD was awake and even tough she was in bed she could hear or leave the bedroom and see something and she could also sense we were up for something even if she didn't hear or see anything, but Dh sulked and said I should be more adventurous....well my idea of being adventurous is to go out and discover new places/food/interesting things to do, NOT to make sex in a small open plan kitchen 2 bedroom flat with your 5 year old wide awake... May I add we are having some problems in the bedroom department due my lack of sex drive but I was willing last night he should have made most of it...

yanbu, when the DC are awake i cant even think about sex

ILiveInAPineapple · 03/08/2012 08:46

YANBU, it's not appropriate to have sex with your 5yo awaiting breakfast and possibly wandering in! He should have taken the opportunity last night. I only have to drop a very subtle hint to my DH and he is upstairs and waiting before I blink, so it's tough luck.

You shouldn't just accept a lack of libido though, maybe a visit to the GP if you don't know the cause?

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 03/08/2012 08:48

YANBU, totally inappropriate!!

OlympicTeaDrinker · 03/08/2012 08:48

Oh god know

If it was a baby just lying in a cot maybe but not a 5yo no way.

OlympicTeaDrinker · 03/08/2012 08:49

no not know Blush

WigGold · 03/08/2012 08:51

Nope, certainly wouldn't float my boat.

Sallyingforth · 03/08/2012 11:22

Posts like this really make me think again about having a child :(

BlackholesAndRevelations · 03/08/2012 11:32

Definitely not! Same has happened in this house too; I've told him no but it doesn't stop him asking! Grin

Ps I did snigger at "make sex" and might have to start saying that myself!

BlackOutTheSun · 03/08/2012 11:37

So you refuse sex due to your 5yr old being awake and poorly and he sulked! Tell him to grow the fuck up.

MildewMayhew · 03/08/2012 11:44

I'm echoing BlackOut's sentiment.

Entitled arsewipe.
