To go to charity BBQ despite being vegetarian?

I know it's going to be a meat-fest (and not the fun kind involving lots of men and one big bed) but I'm literally just going to support the charity. Nobody will give me crap for that, right?

Yanbu. I am sure they will be really greatful for your support - being a veggie and making the effort will surely make them smile :)

WorraLiberty · 02/08/2012 22:59

I can't say they won't give you crap

I mean, what if they give you a veggie burger? Grin

But YANBU, why would they care?

tazzle22 · 02/08/2012 22:59

I think these days many bbqs cater for veggie ..... maybe contact them and ask ?

FantasticDay · 02/08/2012 22:59

Wouldn't have thought so, but you might be hungry. Suggest you take corn on the cob, haloumi and veg kebabs, a pasta salad, red peppers with eggs in, or vegeburgers and quorn sossies...

I would have thought there would be something for veggies?

GhostShip · 03/08/2012 07:41

YABU for making such a big deal of it!

Just go, no-one will be bothered.

exoticfruits · 03/08/2012 08:06

I'm sure it isn't an issue. Support the charity- they most likely have a veggie option- it is hardly uncommon these days.

Sunnydelight · 03/08/2012 08:11

Maybe you could suggest your notion of a meat fest instead Grin
