I know I probably am being unreasonable but need a rant against bloody smokers again!

We were having a family day out today at a little theme park and I was so annoyed by the amount of parents smoking. OK I know it's outside and all that but things like when my DC were on this little carousel thing 2 parents were hanging over the fence smoking so I could really smell it.

Then that thing parents do where they blow smoke and keep their fag away from their DC by blowing it over your DC, this was in a queue for the mini dodgems. Then we sat down to eat and someone sat next to us smoking. All you could smell today was smoke.

If you must smoke then bugger off to some remote corner and do it, public places like playgrounds should be no smoking anyway.

I had to pull my DC out the queue as they were coughing having had smoke blown over them nevermind worrying about them getting burnt by a fag held at toddler level.

McHappyPants2012 · 02/08/2012 23:42

My DC don't like smoke and they have learnt in parks and other public place to move away from the smoke, i just hope they are getting a life lesson and never starts smoking

PorkyandBess · 02/08/2012 23:43

Smokers are almost always blinkered and inconsiderate.

I just try to spot them a mile off and give them a very wide berth.

trixymalixy · 02/08/2012 23:44

But a whiff in the open air isn't going to harm anyone.

I'm sure if someone did a massive smelly fart near you, a whiff of it wouldn't harm you. I think you'd find it pretty fucking unpleasant though..

All of those lemarche. And they're usually fat fuckers with stretchy leggings

WorraLiberty · 02/08/2012 23:51

I agree with the smelly fart comparison Grin

But the OP saying I had to pull my DC out the queue as they were coughing

Hmmm pull them out of an open air queue cos they were coughing?

Really?

Just point to your coughing kids and ask the smokers to turn around a bit

Job done.

As an ex smoker, I would not have smoked in a queue. It's too densely packed with people to be polite. I also wouldn't smoke in an area where people are eating. It's fucking rude and gross. I would indeed have fucked off to a discreet corner.

YANBU

emmieging · 02/08/2012 23:57

Oh I only spot them when I'm hurrying past KFC or Iceland!!!

usualsuspect · 02/08/2012 23:57

I don't like people eating while I'm having a fag.

emmieging · 02/08/2012 23:59

There's often a huddle outside Greggs too

meetupmisery · 02/08/2012 23:59

in yer face in yer face.

What can I eat in RL? I'm hungry?

meetupmisery · 03/08/2012 00:01

I tell you what there always lots of scruffy fuckers outside Asda, always leaning on trolleys. Doesn't happen down waitrose 3 mile away which has a totally different catchment area.

usualsuspect · 03/08/2012 00:06

^^

meetupmisery · 03/08/2012 00:08

PorkyandBess · 03/08/2012 00:11

Just walking behind a smoker for a few steps, the smoke gets in my hair and then my hair stinks.

Hence wide berth.

WorraLiberty · 03/08/2012 00:12

Blimey, I can't think how some people get through November what with all the bonfires and fireworks.

Your nostrils must be offended beyond belief Grin

PorkyandBess · 03/08/2012 00:13

I farkin' hate bonfires.

WorraLiberty · 03/08/2012 00:16

Ahh but Porky do you keep your kids under lock and key...continually bleaching and Febreezing them, when they've been allowed out for 10 minutes exercise? Grin
