To have managed to get DH to do all the tricky ironing?

Off on holiday tomorrow and have mammoth pile of (my) ironing to do. Managed to do all the trousers and tshirts and leave him to tag team with me, leaving all my shirts. Is that really mean!

Nice work!

Do you provide a training programme? I'd love to share that skill!

Olympicpark · 02/08/2012 21:13

jeezy it is all in the nonchalance with which I ask/inform..... "DH let's tag team the ironing." Then after a couple of swimming races, "right DH, your turn...." Pointing out how many (easy peasy) items I had done compared to how many are left. Have just come from the kitchen and added another item to his pile too!!!!! am a sneaky bitch!

As long as he does it properly! DH volunteers to iron [lucky] but I don't let him do my work shirts as they're all tailored and always end up looking odd when he does them. All the rest of his ironing is better than mine, but he doesn't seem to be able to cope with the shirts Confused

I just did all my ironing, which involved ironing one of his shirts and leaving it hung up on the door, and a couple of my things, and leaving the ironing board out, then I'll tell him I've spent all afternoon ironing.................

Yanbu - they have to wear the stuff, they should iron it too.

Very well done

Olympicpark · 03/08/2012 16:55

even though they were actually all my holiday clothes and he just likes wearing creased polo shirts
