I'm usually a big boden fan. Can't afford it new buthave always enjoyed leafing through the catalogue cos it's usually bright, colourful and extremely cheery.

This latest catalogue seems grey and beige and dull. Is it just ne? Am I getting old and this wishy washy miserable look is the latest thing?

I agree. The photos are awful, really hard to see any detail other than a brown wash over everything. I gave up and looked online as you can barely make out anything in the photos.

They're trying to change their image from frompy classic to trendy and not doing a great job of it IMO

whats wrong with change? they cant please everyone. ppl moaned about the other catalogues saying they wer pretencious n snobby... now they change its still not liked?! perhaps they are changing to appeal to more people. why would they continue to market to ppl who dont buy but enjoy pretty pictures? leave them alone

Don't think it is that different, subdued is better in my opinion, not keen on their garish prints. I normally only buy a couple of things for myself, so in that sense I don't think that is going to change.
However, I love the Mini Boden stuff, there is easily a dozen things I would choose for the dc if I could afford it, have to restrain myself to half that amount though.

I have just ordered 3 things from there for the first time in years - obviously I like the sludgey look.

I noticed the change. Boden has gone all edgy and East London.

I'm not sure if I like it or not.

The designs are Soho/Shoreditch trendy rather than Richmond/Wimbledon yummy mummy which is good... but I like the original Boden colours and the colours in new catalogue looked more sludgy and dull which put me off a bit...

Glad they've got rid of the 'ditsy flower' patterns though!

If they could keep the modern look with more pink, mauve, reds etc I could be tempted back...

Especially if they had a special offer in celebration of overhaul...

But surely the point of a catalogue (and indeed any advertising) is to make us fall in love with the product, realise we can't live without it and rush to place an order. All this new catalogue made me do was get my glasses out and then give up. Usually love getting the new catalogue and enjoying it over a cup of tea.
